Crothian said:I think the big problem is posters won't let a serious discussion actually happen.
Umbran said:And each time it comes up anew, someone else gets alarmed, someone else gets annoyed at WotC money-grubbing. Or if it isn't someone new, it's an old someone who gets alarmed or annoyed again.
Crothian said:And then they go and post casuing problerms instead of just letting the people discuss it. If people are tired of the threads, they can ignore them easily.
And if this site had solid facts to report on 4e, I imagine it would. Till that happens people should be allowed to speculate.
Umbran said:It isn't that simple.
Everybody is getting tired of butting heads, but nobody wants to let the others have sway.
there's 4 or 5 threads on 4e on the first page of the general forum alone. If we have so little data, surely the topic doesn't deserve that much discussion.
Zenodotus of Ephesus said:I believe there is enough interest and threads on the topic that a 4E forum should be created. That would solve all of the problems that have come up.
No more difficulty locating the old 4E threads. No more reason for people to be annoyed and post those troublesome, humorous comments that make it impossible for serious 4E discussion to continue. No more problem with too many threads about a product that WotC employees flatly deny is currently in the works, nor need to insinuate they are liars.
"d20 Modern, d20 System & OGL Games" has it's own forum, and 4E needs its own forum, too. It's popularity as a topic of serious discussion is only going to increase as we get closer to next week's release date.
