I played in a 5-level PF campaign with three PCs once - very, very difficult to cover all bases, because you're probably going to slip somewhere, whether it's healing, fighting, or utility-abilities. (You could probably sacrifice arcane blaster the most - the other three categories are just too important, IMO.)
That said, assume the party is about one level lower than it really is, and craft the adventure with the specific party deficiency in mind, and you will probably be able to tailor for it. For example, for a party with two melee combatants and a cleric, ranged threats will be far more powerful, and utility-required problems will be more threatening (entire adventure is underwater, behind three magically locked doors, or hinges on a super-high bluff check). Plan accordingly.
