Throwing a halfling barbarian

First Post
Greetings!

For a campaign I'm playing I've befriended a halfling-barbarian with a greataxe.
My idea was to throw (if possible) the halfling at the enemy, the halfling whirling around with his axe, hitting the enemy extra hard. Something like a improved charge?
Is there such a thing already ? What rules/limitations would you think should apply, is it 'just a charge but looks more awesome' or would the halfling get any extra benefits? Should the warrior roll a attack roll for throwing?

All of these kind of questions jump up and down in my mind when I got this idea... Wondered if anyone here can give any suggestions to this idea(as to rules and such).

Tnx!

Throw Anything [General, Fighter] (CWar p105)
Dexterity 15 Base Attack Bonus +2
You may throw a melee weapon with which you are proficient as if it were a ranged weapon with a range increment of 10’ with no penalty on the attack roll.

...the way you put it i think its only natural to assume that the halfling is indeed a "weapon"... (!!!)

there is also some other feat to increase your range increment...

enjoy!!!;)

Well... I don't actually have to attack, thats what the halfling will do... Maybe only a attack vs touch AC of the enemy?...

okkkkkk... so you're actually serious about this...I'm tempted to ask...can you actually picture what you're saying?

I can ;)
We've got a half-ogre, with a halfing on its shoulder, the half-ogre throws the half-ling controlled to a enemy. The halfling prepares his attack mid air and hits the unsuspecting enemy full in his face..

Thats kinda the idea we have :)

I've seen this concept with a Rock-throwing Goliath and a Halfling. The Goliath was able to throw boulders up to 50lbs, so we assumed the Halfling would be no problem. The Goliath would wear a harness, like those baby slings that carry the child in the front. Hilarious.

It was figuring falling damage for the Halfling after the attack that ended up interesting, and so that had to be houseruled.

Ok, if you are serious, here's what I might rule.

The halfling is an improvised weapon (unless maybe you can practice and take an exotic weapon proficiency...), so you have -4 to attack and 10' range increment.

You presumably want to hit the square in front of the enemy (AC 5) with a ranged touch attack. If you do, the halfling gets an attack as if he had charged with maybe an additional +2 circumstance modifier or so. A DC 15 Jump or Tumble check lets the halfling land on his feet, otherwise he's prone after the attack and takes 1d6 nonlethal falling damage.

If you want to hit the enemy in the face with the halfling, they'll both get damage. Then he's just an improvised thrown weapon with e.g. 1d6 base damage + your strength modifier as normal.

First they would need to coordinate their actions to go at the same initiative.
Second, the thrower would have to determine how far he could throw the halfling.
> I would say some athletic skill divided by 10 to see how many 5' increments he can throw him. If he moves at least 10' before the throw divide by 5 instead. No need for an attack roll.
Third, for the halfling, if the throw made the distance, I would give him the high ground bonus if the thrower did not move or consider it a charge if the thrower moved at least 10' first...I would not give both bonuses together.

Finally, I would probably say that if the halfling's attack misses he would need to make a Reflex save and if he fails takes non-lethal damage as if he fell the distance he was thrown and maybe lethal damage if he rolls a '1'.

Keep in mind I see this more as thematic than as an advantage.

Personally I feel it is entertaining and if everyone is having fun, what can it hurt?
