Throwing a halfling barbarian

A DC 15 Jump or Tumble check lets the halfling land on his feet, otherwise he's prone after the attack and takes 1d6 nonlethal falling damage.

I like the addition of the prone condition. I still think I would devise some Reflex Save DC instead though since technically the halfling already had his action (i.e. the attack) for the round.

I can ;)
We've got a half-ogre, with a halfing on its shoulder, the half-ogre throws the half-ling controlled to a enemy. The halfling prepares his attack mid air and hits the unsuspecting enemy full in his face..

Thats kinda the idea we have :)

:Dokkk... that kind of reminds me of a story i've heard once about "carpet-thieves" ...narrated by a distant uncle of mine...

What's a "carpet-thief"??

A carpet-thief is an expert in stealing carpets laid midway over a balcony's railing...

The carpet thief has a bag full of cats (yes... the animal)...and with his bag at hand... he takes a stroll in some rich neighborhoods during the last days of spring...(you see, the temperature has fallen and the maids have lifted the carpets from the living rooms and have placed them over the railings so as to clean/wash them).

So... in the middle of the night.... the carpet-thief takes a cat out of the bag.......aims......and throws the cat onto the carpet...
Instinctively... the cat grabs onto the carpet with its nails...

Now... the cat's weight combined with its attempts to climb to safety... slowly pull the carpet down until it falls on the street...

If you're animal-friendly... don't worry the cat never takes falling damage.

Hey... as much as the've tried to simulate life in D&D... there are always things they could not have predicted....;)

Ok, looked up the Goliath/Halfling build from back in the day.

Fling Ally feat- Races of Stone p.139. Prereqs: Str 19, Rock Hurling or racial ability to throw rocks, size Large or larger (goliaths qualify by virtue of their powerful build racial trait).

Benefit: You can pick up an ally at least one size category smaller than you and throw him toward a specific square up to five range increments away.

There are rules for distance, missing, falling prone, throwing into occupied squares, etc.

Method's of throwing rocks:

-Rock Hurling feat- Races of Stone p.143. Prereqs: Str 19, size Large or larger (goliaths qualify by virtue of their powerful build racial trait).

-Be a Giant.

-War Hulk PrC (Miniatures Handbook p.22) level 3 ability Mighty Rock Throwing.

...That's all I know of. There's the official option, DM adjust to taste.

Sorry, referring to the Races of Stone book. Talked a bit already with my DM and are checking it out, slightly changing a few rules/requirements, just for sheer awesomeness ;)

The high requirements are because you are letting an ally move while allowing them to still take a full attack on their own action.

Were probably only allowing to throw him if there initiatives (of the thower, and the throwee) are right after eachother, the thrower uses his attack action for the throw, the throwee then can use his full attack against the enemy he's been thrown at.

As I said, it has more non-benefits(can't think of a proper word atm), but you get something for cool roleplaying ;)
