Throwing Knives

Is a dedicated throwing knife (as opposed to the general purpose dagger) statted up as a weapon somwhere?

I have vague memories of seeing them somewhere as giving a minor plus when thrown, and coresponding penalty when used in melee, but can't remember where I read this. Or what the damage was, for that matter -- although I'm assuming 1d4, if not 1d3.

Anyone know what I'm talking about here?

Not a clue. But I always used the dart stats for throwing knives. Same damage as a dagger, but a 20' range increment and a -4 attack when used in melee. Seems pretty reasonable, and it's presumably been tested for balance.
