Level Up (A5E) Thrown weapon style/maneuver

I am thinking of homebrewing a way for thrown weapons to have an effective range of 10 ft. My original thinking was a stance, maybe for biting zephyr, but what do you think? Would that be too powerful? Another option is a feat, but i would need a couple more bullets for a talent like this

Thanks for the input

Yes, as a stance, so they can do aoos and other things in a small range. Since they generally don't do heaps of damage i don't see it being too powerful.
As a stance or a feat, need some help.with the power level. Is there any interactions im missing?

nothing i can think of. a feat would be the easy way to do it, but a stance would make the most sense - the problem is that, the way maneuver traditions are structured, it doesn't really make sense to just "add more" to a preexisting tradition, so precedent would require its own entire tradition for this.

now, i personally think biting zephyr should have been split into maybe 3 different traditions anyway...but uh...that's a lot of work. so. you might want to take the feat approach.

I've never seen any compelling reason why all traditions have to have the same number of maneuvers per degree per tradition. That's just how they've been built. Why couldn't you just add another maneuver to an existing tradition where it would make logical sense to be included?

Not quite what you were thinking of, but the Arcane Knight 4th level combat maneuver Flame Burst sets three squares within your reach as difficult terrain until the end of your next turn and "Creatures that start their turn within the flames take fire damage as though hit by your weapon, as does any creature that attempts to move through the flames."

I took a look through for combat maneuvers that extend your reach, but did not find any in the A5E core rulebook.

I would allow it as a stance as a 4th degree combat maneuver if you are using a returning weapon.
