D&D 5E TIAMAT! It's that gargantuan mini we've all been waiting to see!

Tiamat's nice. Nothing special.

Bahamut is awesome, though. Immense, ominous, and savage-looking. I can't really see using that mini as a god of good... but as a town-burning, hero-munching, treasure-plundering monster? Hell yeah.

I agree, those look huge size not gargantuan, and the giant looked large. I wonder if wizards kept the giants as huge size like they were in the playtest.

I already have DDM's huge "Aspects" of both Tiamat and Bahamut so if these are just "huge", I think I just saved myself $120.

They look Gargantuan to me. Check out the third photo down, where you can see Bahamut and a dragonborn mini close to each other. Assuming the dragonborn has a standard 1-inch base, then Bahamut's base is definitely closer to 4 inches across than 3.

It's harder to be sure about the giant. I thought it was Huge at first, but the more I look at it the more I think it's Large.

Yeah, I think you're right. I looked at one of the WizKids gargantuans I have and I think it is Gargantuan. However, next to the DDM gargantuans (like the black dragon), it will be smaller.

1st I am a miniatures snob - not the intended market. That caveat out of the way - I'm not impressed. They should have given the license for these to McFarlane. The poses are OK, but the paint jobs are bad for the price.

Yeah, one thing WOTC did right was pack a lot of dragon into those Iconic Dragons.

Yeah too many middlemen. Wizkids has to price them high enough to cover the licencing.

Small critters back to 20mm bases, very cool.

Glad to see giants back to around their 2E sizes.

2 inch or maybe 50mm base, but the figure looks 4 inches tall. It might look like it is on a 3" / 75mm Huge base because that small creature is on a 20mm Small base.

Edit

$25 retail for a frost giant.

Those sculpts look new to me, other than Tiamat, looking the same as the one we have? Hard to tell in my RAGBRAI, sleep deprived, state for sure.

Tiamat has been my second favorite D&D villain since the cartoon so I'm excited. This alone has convinced me to try to run Tyranny of Dragons. Bahamut looks amazing.

And just in case anyone is wondering, my favorite D&D villain is Bargle. :)
