Spoilers Time Bandits (spoilers)

Holy smacks! Batman!

I had no idea. This kind of stinks...to find out about it...via the cancellation post. Still, I enjoyed the original film...perhaps I should seek this one out and watch it.

Maybe it was cancelled due to lack of viewership (and that lack caused partly due to people like me not even knowing it existed!).

Even on the most recent AppleTV advertisements I hadn't seen this one listed as one of it's shows.
Do you have Apple TV? They only have like shows*, it’s right there on the Home Screen. And if you don’t have Apple TV you can’t watch it anyway! :)

*I exaggerate, but it’s not exactly Netflix!

I don't have AppleTV, but my inlaws do. It's how I watched the Tom Hanks movie Greyhound.

The most recent advertising I saw with it was about Masters of the Air when I was over there at their place a few days ago, along with a few other shows. Also saw an ad, but can't remember where (maybe my phone?), about how apple TV had a bunch of shows that were popular, but didn't see Time Bandits listed on that either.

They haven't had a ton that I have been interested in, though Masters of the Air is one that I may look at watching when I have more time to spend over at my in-laws (more than just a weekend or so).

Time Bandits though seem like it would also be a show I'd be interested in.

I think you see what Apple TV is if you have Apple TV. They don’t advertise much externally.

It shows up by default on an iPhone, even if you haven't got a subscription. I expect they feel they don't need to advertise much elsewhere.

But I only got through the first episode of Time Bandits, I'm not bothered by the cancelation (Slow Horses, Foundation and Sugar are better).

I thought the trailer looked like fun, and I've had "Roam" by the B-52s stuck in my head for months because of it. I'm a fan of the original movie, I'm a fan of T.W.'s work, I'm a fan of Lisa Kudrow. But I'm not a fan of having multiple streaming services: my limit is three, and it doesn't include Apple. So alas, no Time Bandits for me.

Seems like when I was in high school and one kid had a Mac instead of the Windows stuff everyone else had. He would go on about a game only he could play and everyone else didn't really care.

I'm guessing someday those shows will come around to other platforms through partnerships or buy outs and such. What was the commercial where a customer was renting a hotel room and asked if they had cable. The clerk was all- We have every show ever made in every language.

Apple has a lot of money. I wouldn't be surprised if Emmy-bait like Severence (which is amazing) remains exclusive to them forever.

TV, expensive though it is, is only a tiny side hobby for Apple. It’s just not that important to them.
