Tired of d20 yet?

Well, yeah. Do you go to all the questions on the forum and ask, "why did you ask that?" Does anyone?
Usually the OP gives a reason for asking a question like that.

"I'm getting tired of d20. How about you?"

"My friends say they don't want to play D&D anymore."

Like I said, it read like a loaded question, so I asked for clarification. Note that you are give me junk because I asked a question. Do *I* need to explain myself for just asking a question?

Suspicion? What do you suspect him of? It is a crime to be tired of d20 or D&D? Or to be imprecise on differentiating d20 from D&D?
You first used the word "suspect" in your post. I was just repeating your phrasiology.

Geez. So much ado. Are you making this a problem on purpose?

For someone who's demanding that the OP explain himself and his question, you sure are reluctant to divulge what you're up to.
What I'm "up to"? I explained why I asked my questions. Look up-thread.

Why the heck are you taking an offense for the OP?

I'm not taking offense, I just wonder what you're up to. There seems to be an implication that it's a bad question, or something, that that he should have to explain himself if he has the gall to post that kind of thing here.

I think it's a perfectly fine question, so I'm wondering why you're so strident about him explaining what the point of this was. I'm certainly not offended by it, just curious.

Interesting question for me...
Am I tired of D&D? No, I have a great DM with a brilliant imagination.
Am I tired of D20? I have never liked it to be honest. This could be due to my favorite game of all time being Earthdawn. Exploding dice and all are pretty damned cool if you ask me. I also liked its progression of dice combinations.

Earthdawn was my first RPG experience ever. I was considering returning to try a modified house ruled version in an attempt to balance things a little bit, but I'm not sure if that would ruin it. Earthdawn was all about being ridiculously unbalanced, it was half the fun.

Even so, giving troubadours and weaponsmiths a little bit more oomph wouldn't hurt.

I have gotten a little tired of D&D, but I'm waiting for my copy of Mutants and Masterminds to arrive and I just can't wait to try that! The funny thing is, I was never a big comic book fan, but I loved the old Batman: the animated series and some of the other superhero cartoons (I also must admit I like Teen Titans as a guilty little pleasure). So I haven't given up on D20 yet, but D&D is starting to feel too cliched for me.

You've made a way bigger deal out of this whole thing than I have.

Do you not see the irony of all this? You think my question is sinister because you think my question infers that his question is sinister. You're questioning my intentions because you think I'm questioning his intentions. Is this absurd, or what? I've answered your question about my intentions. Note though, that the OP hasn't answered the question.

I feel like I'm looking into a mirror reflecting a mirror reflecting a mirror...

No, honestly I don't. I think Driddle's question was topical, pertinent, relevent and interesting. It comes up all the time, as a matter of fact; it's hardly the first time it's been asked. On the other hand, I can't think of any reason you'd ask why he'd ask it other than to imply that he shouldn't, or that it's a bad idea, or something like that.

The thread opened my eyes a bit.
Turn-about's fair play, then. I was delighted to see the mish-mash of classes and other cool bits you'd put together or written from scratch when I first followed a link in your profile a year and a half ago or so. "Other people are doing stuff like this... I could probably get away with doing even more extreme stuff like this [with d20]!"
