Titans of Scarn.

This isn't anything more than my take on it but I don't really like equating the Titans/Gods to real life type stuff or to other fantasy settings.

(this is where I think Griz's question comes from)
Ex: In the versions of the bible I'm familiar with God created man in his image.

My comment was really just a poor attempt at humor, I wasn't looking at the Titans as a Christian allegory; that's kind of the cool thing about SL, it adds a neat twist to the usual polythesitic FRPG belief system.

But I, personally, don't really think that the Titans creating a creature nessessitates that the creature will have aspects of the titan. Kadum created Corean and Corean turned out just like his daddy wanted. He succeeded and really really messed up.

I was looking at the setting book and it looks like most of the non-evil gods have denev as their mother, including Corean. Now my wife is fond of saying that boys follow their mothers, and in this case, Kadum is bleeding all over the ocean floor while Denev and the kids got the planet. Talk about Oedipus, lol j/k

In fact Corean has aspects of his father, mainly its might an strength. I suppose you mean that a creature created by a Titan is not necessarily a "clonic" copy of its father.

I think that's what he was getting at. But also remember Kadum was mighty upset with Vangal running around being the ultimate bad ass, which Kadum felt was HIS right. So he decreed as follows (I'm copying it word for word from Div&Def) "Only I have the power to destroy. Whatever the child Vangal threatens, Corean will protect, and what ever the child Vangal destroys, Corean will rebuild. This is the destiny I choose for my son."

So in end, his Hubris/pride got in his way. Thus Kadum is kind of the symbol of ultimate pride and it's downfall.

Grraf, don't worry about. I don't take any offense.

Btw Ysgarran, NICE idea. :) I definately like it.

As for what S&SS has up their sleeves regarding the "divine" races, well I honestly don't know. But I've decided since the titanspawn get called this name, even when they MIGHT not be, the "divine races" are for me "godslaves" or "divinity fools"
