Why can't Ashir roll like this?

Kruk steadies himself, finds renewed strength and takes a might cut at the shadow warrior, but misses. "Agggghhh!" Kruk screams in anguish.

Georg tosses a burst of fire close at the dark knight. It flames envelop his body and leave scorch marks. Georg moves around to surround the armored figure. True dwarves will cut you down to size, pathetic pretenders! He tries to peer into the shadows around Havastav.

[sblock=Georg]
You recognize this Havastav, or at least some of his characteristics. He's a shadow humanoid, Elite Skirmisher. He can swipe twice quickly with his bastard sword, he has a re-charging Disrupting strike that leaves lingering force damage (just used on Kruk), when he scores a crit or drops someone to 0 he grants an ally a free MBA or RBA, he has a re-charging teleport power, but must end it in dim light or darkness. Finally, if he moves 3 squares he gains total concealment.

*Phew*
[/sblock]

Free from Kadaj's paralyzing magic, Raiyek maneuvers in behind Havastav. He leaves himself open for an attack on the way, hoping the warrior would get distracted and leave another opening for Kruk.

Once in position, Raiyek attempts to impale Havastav on his blade, enhanced by Palladys' power. "Palladys, grant us strength!" the paladin cries as he slices again at the armored man with incredible speed. The second blow is solid though the wound is shallow, and healing energies flow to Carolina, floating in the black fire.

[sblock=Raiyek]
As an FYI, I was wrong his Ref is 17 right on. Good think you used Elven Accuracy.
The zombie is a Zombie Hulk, level 6 brute, his attacks are a slam and zombie smash, he can also Rise Again
[/sblock]

Lily shouted and waved at the menacing figure in black plate trying to give Raiyek an opening. As soon as the paladin made his move Lily dived for cover behind a nearby bush, where she waited for just the right moment to unleash a spell.

[sblock=ooc]
Ok, so no actions from Lily until after the enemies go, but FWIW her attack does hit so Raiyek does have CA on his next attack[/sblock]

"Get the holy one, finish him off you big brute!" Kadaj orders, the large creature follows mindlessly and Lilth attempts to bite it again, but this time the creature dodges the blow. Coming up on Raiyek's backside, the zombie unleashes a right hook that glances off the plate armor.

"Idiot." Havastav hisses to the zombie, then unleashes a whirlwind of stabs, thrusts, and slashes that overcome Raiyek's defenses, first once, then a second time and finally a third slash drops the elf, leaving him at the shades feet. "That is how it's done, now try again" the creature rasps. The zombie obliges and this time his fist connects with Georg, leaving the dwarf seeing spots.

Kadaj smiles "Well done! Let's finish the wizard" he calls out, hurling a ray of darkness that slams into Georg and roots him to the ground.

[sblock=OOC]EDIT: dimsdale, Havastav did miss me once last round - you could probably use parry and riposte then if you wanted to. Up to Mr. DM in the end of course, I just wanted to point out the opportunity. /EDIT

Ouch! I think we need to finish Havastav off ... he has to be getting close.

Just a couple quick questions. Is Havastav bloodied yet? Did you account for Raiyek's resist 1 all? (If not he'll be at -7, for all it's worth.)

I was going to ask whether regen works when your unconscious, but then I decided to just look it up. According to PHB, regen doesn't work when you're at 0 hp or fewer. Which means the only way Raiyek gets to act this turn is if Carolina heals him, which most likely can't happen.

Death Save (1d20=15)[/sblock]

Havastav is not bloodied, but I did forget your resist 1. I've updated.

Also, Kruk, feel free to roll your Parry/Riposte as a reaction for last turn[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]
thank you Evil Dm. One parry and riptoes coming up
[/sblock]

[sblock=action]
parry and riptose on Havastav: 1d20+9+2 (flank) +2 CA? (I'll roll with the +2 flank...take it out if I can't get that bonus) vs AC: 22 for 1d10+5 = 15 and the rest of my allies have CA on Havastav until the end of my next turn.
[/sblock]

OOC: Is Carolina STILL stunned? I thought it ended at the end of Exie's turn this round.

Save vs. weakened: 1d20=19

If she can move, she'll move to G7 to get some flanking action going on. We'll deal with X later... he's SCARY! ;)

[sblock=OOC]Am I correct in assuming that Carolina can NOT attack this round, after getting un-stunned and moving? I'll admit, I'm a bit lost at the moment, dealing with this other stuff and all...[/sblock]

[sblock=Carolina]
Nope you just lost last turn. You fall at end of Kadaj's last turn, but make your save to land on your feet. You have a full suite of actions (standard, move, and minor), although on your attack you're weakened. [/sblock]
