Having seen and own all of the movies,it is about family, which does make it odd that Dom has brother that he hasn't spoke about (but this is possible,in the real world folks do have family that they never speak about).

What i REALLY want to know is what happened to the shop they owned that sold the tuna that no one but Brain liked.

Essentially, the F&F franchise morphed from a "street racing franchise" (F&F 1-3) to a "super hero / action franchise" (F&F 4 on).

This is primarily because Vin Diesel got creative control and realized that people didn't care about Riddick and that he was only going to be allowed to continue making D&D movies if they were also about cars, sometimes.

At some point they have to go with Furious and Furiosa ... after all, they are casting Charlize Theron!

So it goes like this:

Fast10 Your Seatbelts (the most ludicrous action extravaganza ever, which ends with a nuke going off in Australia)
2 Hobbs 2 Shaw (in a stunning twist, the two men try to stop an illegal car racing ring that is involved in stealing electronics, and the men responsible are their brothers! literally 2 Hobbses and 2 Shaws)
Fast and Fury Road (an artsy character piece in now-post-apocalyptic Australia; I mean, they already have Charlize Theron in this franchise, so here we'll learn how she loses her arm)
Pacific Rim: Tokyo Drift (Hobbs and Shaw have to defend Tokyo by merging their consciousnesses to pilot a jaeger)
The Fast and the Furyan (Dom and his fambly flee the kaiju overrun Earth, racing for another star system, where Dom's son has taken the street name 'Riddick')
Furiouser and Furiouser: Into the Underverse (the thrilling conclusion to the Fast and Furious and Chronicles of Riddick and Mad Max and Pacific Rim franchise; also an Alice in Wonderland homage)

Is it sad I'd watch Pacific Rim: Tokyo Drift? Or is it too awesome to not be watched?

It's canon, Spock never talked about his half-brother or adopted sister either, and didn't even mention that Sarek what his father when Kirk and Spock were standing right in front of him. Makes sense that Dom could do the same.
