Jason sits on a rock, this may be a little uncomfortable, but at least the entertainment is free...smiling to himself about the interaction between the strange dwarfs and his traveling compainions.
Bal, You'd mentioned dwarven holds, and I, not surprisingly, know not much about them. I would be fasinated in learning more, if you would be willing to tell more of them, and just where do you hail from?
Also....could you pass any of that brandy your drinkin', I have heard dwarven brandy is quite tasty...
Bal tosses Jason the jug of green mushroom brandy, “Here have a taste, it is good for the soul, forges you with strength and iron! As far as a proper dwarf hold goes, they be orderly, and grand in design. Built into the great peaks, and highly defensible from both the outside and from within, and we don’t waste time on frilly designs, we keep it sensible, and functional. The mines is where it is at, long twisting tunnels built into the roots of the world, mining precious ores, and then putting them to hammer and forge, in proper dwarf fashion! With our keen dwarf eyes we need not light, so you may find it dark in much of the hold, but we be seeing just fine, as such we don’t waste time with all them colors, black gray, and white is all you need!”
Kolan nods, “But a change of scenery is always good every now and then.”
Bal spits, “Bah, that is fool’s talk. Give me a good cold stone rough, hewn straight and true, and the cool stone under me feet for the rest of me days, laboring in the mines, and I could die happy. Moradin would be pleased with my work, he would! Course the Nether Deep is filled with many dangers, and creatures of the foul darkness. The drow chief among them, damn dark elf bastards, impeding right and proper progress!”
