Tom Brady is the man

I find it funny that people continue to pick against the Patriots during the playoffs. I don't understand it, mind you, but I certainly find it humorous.

I also take solace in the fact that almost everyone is picking against the Pats once again:

Not to mention Marino from Inside the NFL on HBO, who has picked against the Pats in six straight AFC championships and Superbowls.

Well, Marino's just jealous. Everyone knows that.

But everyone else is just expecting the natural order of the universe to re-assert itself. :p

I think what we have here are two great games.

Saints - Bears (which Grossman will show up?)

Pats - Colts (which Colts defense will show up?)

Great storylines and a fun time!

Peyton Manning is the Dan Marino of our time. He will never win a Superbowl because he chokes. The Pats will win the Superbowl and become the second greatist dynasty of all time behind the San Francisco 49ers. Brady may well achieve demigod status but he will never achieve Joe Montana status.

Tom Brady's three picks last week were soooo clutch!!!

If Marlon Mcree had just batted down that 4th and long pass instead of stupidly intercepting it, the Chargers would have won.

He's young yet. He could be the John Elway of our time.

I'll take it you're a 49ers fan? ;)

It should be noted that those various Niners teams were great (4 championships in 9 years), but certainly not better than Lombardi's Packers (5 in 7 years) or Knoll's Steelers (4 in 6 years). Those are the gold standard for football dynasties, with the Pats having a chance to join them in the next few weeks.

I agree. However...

Brady had a terrible game. But he was given a second chance after that pick-n-fumble play. Can't give Hall of Fame players (which is where Brady is going) second chances. They'll kill ya. He was clutch after that. Drove them right down the field for a TD and then when he got the ball back ate enough time off the clock to make it very difficult for a first-year QB to drive the field for a score.

Brady was also very lucky. That fumble that his lineman recovered was nutty. Then the personal foul penalty for a first down was icing on that cake. Crazy luck. The Pats have gotten so many breaks go their way, dating all the way back to the Snow Job. It's gotta run out sometime...
