Y'know the funny thing? I knew about the basic Set, but I didn't realize just how many of the Isle of Dreads were released, and it was with every box just like the Keep on the Borderlands was with every Basic box for a while!

Outside of Kim Mohan and Steve Winter, I wonder how many TSR old guard (I mean OLD OLD guard) still work at WotC? Tom had a hand in a LOT of stuff...

... I practically dropped my jaw realizing that Castle Amber was his baby, too.

Tom Moldvay created some of the most memorable adventures from my childhood. Even though I started playing D&D with Frank Mentzer's Basic Set, it was Tom Moldvay's adventures that me and my friends cut our teeth on.

The Lost City and The Isle of Dread were spectacular, but it was Castle Amber that will forever live in my memory as one of the most special gaming moments of my life.

Thank you, and may you rest in peace. My heart goes out to those who are left behind.
