Too many books!

Only a meter? Well, I guess not all of us can be as gifted as I am. I just measured my D20 products, and I am sitting at a solid 263 cm, a whopping 2.6m! I guess it kinda snuck up on me. Although, I guess that does explain the solid line of FINE women lined up down the block hoping to get a look at my line of hardwood derived paper products, IYKWIMAITYD. :D

Seriously, there is a ton of new stuff coming out that looks incredibly cool. Next on my list is the Babylon 5 book, along with Stargate, anything Midnight, anything Green Ronin, anything FFG, anything MEG, anything Necromancer, and assorted other stuff that strikes me as cool at the time. I need to go buy more shelves.

Well, I didn't mention my other RPGs, did I? ;)

I've got at least half a dozen d20 products slated for pick-up this year. And that's if I can keep to my goal to only buy one a month until I'm actually caught up in my reading.

Oh, so we're comparing other RPG collections too now Joshua? I have a collection that would put Monte Cook's to shame!

Lets just say we are both BIG men, and save Eric's grandma from a stroke trying to unravel our innuendo (and me from a hernia trying to lug all my books out, line them up, and measure them!). ;)

One question though- do you cover your precious? I do- I have all my core books in Chessex Dragonskins. No use in unnecessary wear and tear on the precious. :p

Actually, no I don't cover them -- although the idea's not a bad one. Especially the magazines could probably really benefit from some slip covers or something. And I could use old-fashioned school book cover type covers, I suppose, for the others. It never occured to me, honestly.

LOL. Shame, shame, shame. Eric's grandma would not be pleased. :)

I do cover some of my older collectibles (Judges Guild, Elfquest, etc) in ziplock bags, but usually the ones they came in.

I've been building up my d20 lately and there's a lot more to go. Gen Con helped a lot as it was all right there.

Oh well, this is certainly a good problem to have, as far as problems go, but there's too much stuff out there I want right now! Heck, this d20 thing just keeps getting more and more momentum, as near as I can tell. The suppliers of d20 material have become, generally, as good as WotC in most respects, and they've got some kick-@$$ products out there.

Just today, I popped into Borders for about half an hour, and flipped through Arcana Unearthed and the Warcraft book -- both of which I now have to own. Unfortunately, I've still got half a dozen books I've bought that I haven't even had time to read! :( Because of that, I've decided it's time I started putting some limits on what I allow myself to buy, so at least until I get caught up, I'm down to one book a month. I've already got more than that in July, and I've got FFG's Sorcery & Steam slated for August.

Problem is, by the time I get caught up, there's more stuff out there I'll want. It's a vicious cycle, I tell ya, and I don't ever see myself getting caught up!

After packing up my books for the move, I have realized the I have too many RPG books as well :(

Damn those boxes are heavy

Oddly enough, it's then gone and put some oddballs on the list, like this new d20 book I saw that had a whole pack of maps of the interior of city buildings along with some brief descriptions. Low on eye-candy factor, but when I looked at it I could see that this would be very useful for my game, even if it wasn't the sort of thing I like to carry to the coffee table and enjoy looking over -like AU would've been-.

Actually, this is roughy the same place I am in my d20 purchasing - that being said - what is the name of the product you mention here.

I have also toned down my purchasing. I have way too many d20 products as is.

My current strategy is to not buy anything until September. Then I will buy anything that has come out during this time frame that I still feel that I just gotta have it.

Besides, i only play in one game. It isn't like i will ever use the stuff.

I have to add that my favorite publishers are Necromancer and Green Ronin. I have also taken a recent liking to Goodman Games.
