I've backed the KS and eagerly await the box of goodies [emoji1]
I'm interested in knowing how "updated" the game is in terms of technology and spy craft (if that makes sense). I still have old copies of TS/SI and JB 007 but I'm looking for something beyond the Cold War....

Well, we were using smartphones and drones as assets in the play test, so I'd say it's as modern as you want it to be.
Sounds great.
Can you describe the mission(s) that were part of the play test? Or were they just simple mechanic demos?

Let's see, our agents were in San Francisco and we were tasked with infiltrating Osiris's offices in... umm... might've been the TransAmerica Building. Osiris was the GM's version of Cobra (James Carpio, one of the designers). Our mission was to extract an asset, I think. That is, go in and get a dude who was working as a double agent. We had to figure out how to access the high-security offices (which part of the group did by stealing/forging a badge and going in under some pretense and the other part of the group posed as maintenance to get access to the elevator shafts and building telecom panels). While the rest of the team was getting down & dirty, I stayed outside and used the drone to canvass the upper floors, providing intel from outside with my HD and infrared cameras.
I think. Details are sketchy; March feels like a long time ago.
