Well, don't forget that the nascent WoW CMG.

A shame the bases for it aren't 1". I'm sure there would be lots of stuff in it to steal for D&D. :/

Looks like they are trying to sell a bit more than just a license.

What intellectual properties will go on the chopping block for sale? What does WizKids Games still own that Topps could sell to recoup some of their investment? Crimson Skies? Shadowrun?

Between this and the demise of DDM, this doesn't' look like a good time for collectible miniature games.

Interesting - so maybe WotC is not the only one having trouble and it's a general market issue? How come? Are there new, better competitors? Or are the "old ones" still strong or getting stronger? Or is there really a general decline?

I have no special knowledge of this situation, but I'm guessing this has as much to do with corporate direction as market conditions. Keep this in mind:

Topps buys WizKids, a year later Torrnante buys Topps, a year later Topps divests WizKids.

It could simply be a case of the new management saying "hey, this isn't why we bought the company, so let's get rid of that part and focus on what we did buy it for."

Difficult market conditions could have made that decision come easier and faster, of course.

Don't know, just pointing out another potential reason.
