Tori Vs. Gustaf.... [Yellow Sign Judging]

Hold on, corrections must be made. This fight has been totally screwed up, on Rathan's part. Here are his two most recent moves, and his hand. Neither move was in his hand.

The spider overwhelms the shrine; menacingly grasps the thrust of the storm!
The lizard masterfully nails the paradise; negates the touch of the fires!
Tori's Hand

1: The turtle lies with the island; parries the storm of the isle!

2: The whip devours the pillars; dodges the descent of the stone!

3: The snake ravages the clearing; avoids the onslaught of the tides!

4: The tiger brutalizes the cavern; absorbs the aggression of the barrens!

5: The kama devours the cliff; shields the violence of the flower!

And, from his first hand he also made some similar mistakes.

The foot wracks the foothills; shreds the rising of the crevice!
Tori's hand:

1: The chimera rends the ruins; dodges the drive of the insect!

2: The snake falls atop the prairie; dodges the cut of the sands!

3: The hammer nails the badlands; shreds the push of the ice!

4: The crab rides higher than the brush; dominates the blood of the body!

5: The mantis falls within the marsh; shields the roar of the pole! *yen*

And this is really unnacceptable... plus this is a 3 flag match, and had his moves been legal he would have won the match at three.

Considering that 1/2 of the moves of Rathan's this match were not part of his hands, I'll assume at some point he forgot this was a strategy match. I'll see if I can get a Master Judge to resolve the whole situation...

OOC: Creamsteak, your completely in the right about this. I am sorry that I didn't see that Rathan was posting none judge generated moves. The two that he posted earlier he lost but this last one gave him the win. I would rule that Rathan's last move as a disqualifing move giving the match to you as it was the last move of the match. Who ever won it would win. I am still new at judging and I apologize completely for the mix up. Maybe I should stay away from judging.

POINT AND MATCH GUSTAF!

IF you are going for honor you would gain the Tiger Signature move.

Sorry Tori, but you were caught cheating and lost the match.

Alright, I'm going to bring out the rules so that you don't have to look them up: here's what I'm gonna do...

Death and Dying
Dying can occur in YB. First it is possible to commit seppuku if you dislike the direction your character has taken. This is extreme but it's your character.

Second, and most common, 2nd tier fighters can die if they reach the bottom of their tier and then fight the wrong person. Thugs, Out of Luck; Dark Apprentices, Out of Favor; Yellow Belts, Disgraced 3; Blue Belts, Fallen From Grace; and Copper Sashes 0 can be killed if they lose their match (and in the sashes case if they do not pay the yen). If these fighters are not killed when they lose then they go back to white belt after losing. Anytime a fighter wins a fight and kills a character at these ranks, they win 1 extra rank from the victory.

Third and finally, it is possible to challenge another to a death match. Such Matches must always be for at least four flags (if a traditional match) or six flags (if a speed match). The one declaring the death match must, if they win, kill the other fighter. The one accepting the death match can choose to either kill their opponent or show mercy. If they show mercy, the other fighter loses 3 ranks from the fight. Death matches garner 1 extra rank from the victory for the winning fighter.

Special Rules: To join the path of light, a Honor fighter (or a white belt) must win a fight against a Yakuza or dark fighter. After winning they may choose to advance into the path of light instead of further into the honor path. A white belt who does this begins as a Blue Belt 0. An honor fighter begins at the rank he would have advanced into if he had remained an honor fighter.

Since the option made itself available, and all things seem to be aligned for this: Gustaf will kill Tori and Advance to Apprentice of Light 2 (Apprentice of Light 0 for a win + 1 for beating an opponent of tier 2 + 1 for killing the opponent). And the yen won at the beginning of the fight...

I gain:
Pure Spirit, Holy Warrior, Holy Day, Signature Style (Tiger)

But, what happens to Tori's 2 yen?

Alright, then it is resolved. Thanx Sollir... Rathan I would have "handed" you the yen from your character to your next if I could, but according to Kalanyr I can't so... it "disappears."

According to me, but I'm not a master judge or anything, before the character dies they can give you their yen if they want to or not, it's their decision-I believe someone in the past gave their opponent their yen to save their life (non-sash battle)

Edit-Sure thing, I've been experiencing some more time management troubles (my sis is in town and there's a wedding today) but i'll have time to do so soon :D, I know you can't wait ;)

Contrary to what Yellow Sign said about only the last move winning for Tori I notice that Tori's first point also came from randomly generated moves instead of the judge generated moves. (The foot move)

Rathan - I am interested to hear why this happened? If it was an accident you should be more careful as it is not fair to put the poor judge into such a predicament. And it is a silly reason to lose a match.

Yellow Sign, your only mistake was in not actually checking to make sure the moves were actually the ones you gave. Other than that you did the best you could in a bad situation. Don't give up judging. You shoulda seen the first death match I judged. I pronounced one guy dead, changed my mind and gave the fight to the other guy, making the winner the one most upset and then in the end I find the reason I changed my mind was wrong to begin with. You did better here then I did there :D ;)
