Well, they've done enough to persuade me to go and see it, despite my objections to them changing the suit and (more unforgivably) getting rid of John Williams' music.

But I'm refusing to get my hopes up too high - "The Phantom Menace", "The Matrix: Reloaded" and "Superman Returns" cured me of that!

Superman Returns skipped the origin story. How'd that work out?

We're not talking about a spider-man situation (remake too soon) here.

Personally I rather liked this trailer. A different tone than any of the superhero movies out there.

I think it's not needed because a few of us watched 10 seasons of Smallville. We all kinda get where Supes came from.

I never watched that show, but to me it seems pretty clear that the movies using different actors are completely different takes on the character.
