trap sense and other 3.5thingies

Well, the obvious solution then would be to make Trapsense a feat, and make the rogue gain a virtual feat for Trapsense somewhere between levels 1 and 5. I agree that I think a skill like Trapsense would be good NOT to give away at level 1. Rogues get a number of useful abilities already that make them a good class for dabbling (sneak attack, especially).

Because it's such a good skill, you'd have to give Trapsense a decent set of prereqs though. Maybe require another trap related feat first?

Just make Trapfinding a feat (the ability to find traps with a DC higher than 20) and make Trap Sense another feat that requires Trapfinding as a prerequisite. In my own d20 game, I have Traps (the 3.0 name for trapfinding... cf. the PHB) as a feat availible to non-rogues that lets them find traps with DCs of over 20. Seems pretty logical to me.

Of course, with all the talk of d20 furry products, I donno if my d20 game (a furry campaign setting, Panzoa) is going to be viable if I'm ever able to finish it. But this thing seems to obvious that I don't really mind sharing it, especially since it looks like someone will beat me to making a d20 furry product. Early bird gets the worm and all.

Btw, you're very welcome, haiiro. I'm just happy to contribute something decently major for 3.5 scoops... I only managed to find little things for 3.0 back in the early days of this community.
