Traps and Wards (Erekose 13 Judging) [Concluding]

OOC: Rethlin delays until Gimbel's initiative, casts Sheild of Faith on Guardian (+2 deflection bonus to AC), and takes a 5' step back in order to switch places with Gimbel. I'm assuming no concentration check is necessary because the door jams provide cover. If not I'll add a concentration check to cast defensively.

seeing the defenders attacking , fearalan shouts out"BLAST THESE CURSED CONTRAPTIONS" moving up next to guardian he swings at the nearest one
taking a silent moment for himself to ponder the mecanical differences between himself, the defender and guardian.

Round 1 Continues
[Fritz goes here.]

[Fearalarn goes here... but I'm having trouble interpreting your character's action, Corcio. If Fearalarn is moving to attack i3, there doesn't seem to be anywhere for him to stand. If he's moving to attack i4, he'll likely provoke an AOO from i3 on the way, and I don't think he can get close enough to attack without a double move.]

fearalan halts his stride seeing as how there is little room to maneuver

ooc- i appologize, i am a bit new to the whole PBP thing as i mentioned before i will try to explain my actions a little more clearly and try to make references in the future for easier interpretation.

nice map though

Round 1 Concludes
Fritz loads his crossbow and guards the rear.

Fearalarn waits for an opening.

Guardian expertly knocks aside the assault of the second Iron Defender, despite its advantageous position. Charge & flank (1d20+9=17, 1d6+3=6) As he blocks the second Iron Defender with his shield, he simultaneously stabs out at the first, slicing it for 7 damage.

Rethlin casts shield of faith on Guardian and switched places with Gimble, who repairs Guardian of 4 damage.

Round 2 Begins
Thrown off by its new wound, the first Iron Defender misses Guardian on its new attack. Iron Defender 1 v. Guardian (1d20+5=10, 1d6+3=8)

Guardian continues his assault on the metal creature, hoping to finish it quickly, but his strike is weak.

He calls out to his companions, "There is a possibility that I will not be able to defeat these creatures alone. If the situation turns grim, we should retreat back out the front door and engage them in the courtyard."

Attack, damage, AP if Attack is 11-15 (1d20+3=14, 1d8+2=3, 1d6=4) So with the AP, the Attack roll is an 18.

OOC: Guardian is not opposed to slowly retreating out the door so that more people can beat on the iron defenders.

Round 2 Continues
Fritz and Fearalarn (npc'd) each take a step back, both readying actions on an opening with which to attack the enemy.

The mechanical hand on the east side of the house snaps at Guardian, but is still held at bay by his shield. Iron Defender Attack, Flanking (1d20+7=17, 1d6+3=7)

Guardian, harried as he is, only manages a glancing blow for 3 damage. He tries to step back, but finds no room, and urges his companions to withdraw to more open ground.

[Rethlin is up.]

Rethlin is not threatened so he moves back out to the courtyard (5 feet from the doorway, to the right of the door), fishing out a scroll from his backpack (cure light wounds) which he will place in his belt for easy access.
