Happy Bishop Games is proud to announce it is taking preorders for its first roleplaying game, Triune.

Set in the future, Triune mixes science fiction with religion. Gates have opened between our universe, Heaven, and Hell. A treaty forbids angels and devils from entering our universe, but they do anyway. These illegal extrauniversals try to push humanity into siding with Heaven against Hell and vice versa. Yet humanity has proclaimed neutrality and is determined to stay that way.

Triune uses the Effort System, a unique mechanic that allows players to adjust how much risk and reward are on the line for each roll. Players take roles as police officers in a special unit that hunts down rogue angels, devils, and the humans who support them. Special powers are granted to each character based on real religions: You can play a level 4 Jew, a level 3 Jealous, and a level 5 Politician--all at the same time!

The game features some other unique elements, such as no character death, a new way of looking at equipment, and three different styles of play: Traditional (everyone works for humanity fighting Heaven and Hell), One-Sided (everyone works for humanity but secretly works for either Heaven or Hell), and Competitive (everyone works for humanity, Heaven, or Hell--and against each other).

The corebook comes in two editions. The Players' Edition has everything needed for players to enjoy the game but does not include any GM-specific information. This allows us to offer a cheaper game book for players.

The Gamemasters' Edition includes everything in the Players' Edition but more, including setting secrets, tips on being a GM, and an introductory adventure. If you want to be a Triune GM, you only need to buy this edition.

We have an online glossary that can help give you some idea of what the game is about before preordering, or you can download the free quickstarter edition of the game.

Please visit our webstore and take advantage of our preorder sale: $2.00 off each edition!

If you have any questions or want to berate me about religion (as several people have done already!), please email me at wjmacguffin at gmail dot com. Thanks!
