Trivial houserule: "Help Up" action

Oh, yeah, a feat should totally let you stand as a minor action (isn't there already one?) - I still don't think a feat let you stand someone else as a minor action, but maybe it would work thematically for certain characters.

Like a shadow source character that fights with lots of tendrils of shadow, or a wizard for mage hand...

The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant characters most definitely fit the theme, they could form human chains to catch somebody who was falling.. and used what most people would call telepathy to coordinate with one another.

Hm. Noting that the warlord utility 2 Knight's Move can let you do basically this at range.
It doesn't seem inappropriate to have:
No Loafing
Warlord Utility 2
At-Will ✦ Martial
Minor Action Melee touch
Target: One prone ally
Effect: The target can stand up as a free action.

For making it a minor action - perhaps require an Athletics check? It's like picking up a really heavy sword!

EDIT:
Help Up
At Will
Minor Action, Melee touch
Target: One prone ally
Special: Make a DC 15 Athletics check.
Success: On its next turn, the target can stand up as a minor action.
Failure: Nothing.

This way, it's like getting a move action for 2 minor actions and a skill check. At high levels, this becomes routine, like first aid.

Yeah the Athletics Check to grant a save (kin to heal checks for the same)
I like it because yes when you help somebody up..they are still doing some of the work... 2 minor actions and 2 die rolls and I think a free hand... without a free hand its a bigger deal.

I think it's much more natural than making it one person doing it all. There will still be somebody arguing 2 minors are not the same as one standard, but I think the medic is doing a lot more (and grants saves against any condition) than snagging a hand and bracing or pulling while the the one you are helping spins and positions there feet or some similar combo.

Love the warlord quotable "On your feet soldier".
