True 20 Fantasy

My only dig against the Planenr, which I bought last night, is that when I heard PDF forms I envisioned PDFs with Form Functionality enabled. Alas, it is print and scribble. Not sure how much I will use it, if at all, as I do pretty much EVERYTHING on my PC.

Whats up with that?

I'm not sure why more companies arn't taking advantage of the Forms on PDF... thats one of the attractive features of PDFs over print for forms & character sheets and the like.

Just making my opinion known: PDF publishers, keep an open mind about the Forms :)

Yeah. When I first read about the Planner I couldn't wait to go home and DL it. I was pretty disappointed when I saw it was missing that functionality.

What we do (I've worked on a number of these now) is release the product and then update it with forms at a later date. Currently the M&M Superlink Campaign Planner is being updated with forms (and should be ready Monday). As it says on the product page updated versions are sent out free.

The reason we wait and do this after release is so that if any big errors pop up we can fix them before putting the energy into creating the forms (since it's not a simple process).

Ok, this definately sounds like something that I could use. Could someone give me a breakdown of what is included (I have to justify the purchase with my wife)?

Two questions, phil:

1) Would I be correct in assuming that I will be able to get the update for free once available?

2) Do you have a rough ETA on when said update would be ready?

Absolutely. As stated on the product page:

"If this edition of the publication is updated due to the discovery and correction of typos or errata, you will get a free download of the corrected edition."

Sorry, but no. I'd hate to give a date and then be wrong. We go through the process as quickly as we can but sometimes problems slow us down.

There are quite a few forms. A 3-page form for important characters, city and town forms, weather forms, custom skill/feat forms, creature forms . . .

After subtracting the cover, instructions, and OGL there are 38-pages of forms in this product.

Pellucidar already has its resident monsters including lizard-men, snake-men etc. Bugbears work as Sagoths and I suppose orcs could be adapted to fit somewhere. And leave the dinosaurs as dinosaurs - they are a major feature of Pellucidar.
The place is big enough to add dragons as well if you want them...

I rethought my idea and I realized I'm really looking for a d20 Pulp Africa; steaming jungles, tribes, and lost gods (possibly including a really powerful lion).
