True Dragon Crossbreed?

Reading the Half-Dragon template, it seems that true dragons mate really various creatures. If so, it is likely that there are crossbreeds of different true dragons. Do you guys think it will be reasonable to apply Half-Dragon template to true dragon? I mean, like creating Half-Red Dragon/White Dragon. Or, are there any official rules or suggestions of those mongrel true dragons?

I think it's generally considered "not done," but WotC did have a web article on "half-dragon dragons" once, like your example. I'd find you a link, but WotC seems to be down right now (surprise, surprise!).

Dragon magazine compendium [3.5 book] had the Blue/Red crossbreed dragon updated in it. Purple Dragons has a breath of Plasma [fire + lightning]it could use as a Cone, line or wield as a breathsabre.

Hmm. According to the DC, those 3 dragons are not hybrids but independent true dragon races. They may work, But I will search the WotC site when it is recovered, thanks.
