True Strike and Disarm.

One point I'd like to mention is that a pure wiz or sorc can use this effectively as well. You need

  1. quicken spell
  2. true strike
  3. 1 or more empty hands
  4. to be hasted
    [/list=1]

Cast quickened true strike. Disarm the guy. You now have his weapon! RUN AWAY!

This may seem like a bit tedious so, let's say you have fly on as well. FLY AWAY! Toss BBEG's +1 vorpal speed scimitar to your party's main tank. Toss it into a live volcano. Pretend put it in a scabbard to make it difficult for the opposition to take it back.

For more fun, try taking Orcus' Wand. Asmodeus' Scepter. Nerull's staff. Of course there are repurcussions to this legedermain against such notables, but hey, what's life without some risk?

sor2 kobold having true strike, magic missile, shield and mage armour? Strange, I always thought they only know two spells :D

Why don't you only let the front guys go into full defense and raise their AC yet a bit more?

If you wanna disarm with true strike, do it from the second row with a whip. Those kobolds don't have a few ftr2 kobolds for the front row?

Not mentioned yet (I first saw it a long, long time ago) - this combo works particularly well for Monk Sorcerers - Take 1st level as sorcerer and learn Mage Armour and True Strike. Go Monk all the rest of the way. They are a bit more used to mixing things up HTH after all :)

No offense PS, though I am used to hordes who do it the other way round ... Take one level monk (or two sometimes) for hitpoints, saves, unarmed AoOs, Wis bonus, skills and last but not least EVASION and go for wiz or sorcerer the rest. With True Strike, you disarm nearly everyone too. Add Weapon Finesse and Cat's grace and your spellcaster will hit better than most monks...

Weirdest combo I ever saw was a monk1/druidX

He still got his spells as fast as a sorcerer and Wis helped both...

OMG you guys are awesome! I play in a weekly game that's been going on for over a year now, and our characters are all 12th-13th level. I play a 12th lvl Fighter/Wizard/Bladesinger.

Full Attack action + Song of Celerity (True Strike) = Disarm just about anyone wielding a weapon!

Ohh, I am giddy with anticipation about this; my DM is in for a nasty surprise the next time he throws those pesky githyanki against us! ;)

Those aren't the ONLY NPC's in the battle. Just the ones that I didn't know the rules to. It'll probably be a random encounter somewhere, I'm not sure. I just wanted a group of kobold socerors (it IS their favored class) who can either get up close and disarm or stand back with crossbows shooting people. The Sor6 will be a nasty surprise.

One thing that should be pointed out:

True Strike+Disarm is a good combo against people who haven't prepared to counter a disarm attempt.

Against someone who is prepared to counter a disarm attempt, your odds are only 50/50 if you're lucky.

Try it on a single classed fighter or barbarian whose attack bonus is probably 5 to ten points (after strength, weapon focus, levels, enhancement bonusses on the weapon, etc) higher than yours wielding a greatsword two handed with a locked gauntlet on one hand and suregrip (Tome and Blood) applied to the other. Even with true strike on your side, odds are he'll still win the opposed attack roll. Plus, he'll unload on you with two full attack actions while you're trying the combo. End result: you take lots of damage and he still has the sword.
