So the very first sentence about speaking English... I mean everyone here at the forum presumably speaks English, or we would have problems interacting with the forum, so is it intended to be for native speakers only?

The survey is going out on multiple platforms so we have to make the fact that the survey itself is in (a lot of) English clear, so as not to waste participants' time. However, there's no distinction here between native- and non-native speakers - all welcome.

The only question that I struggled with was the one on education. I have no idea what any of that means.

Presumably it's because the system is (or was) different back when I did it, or is (or was) different in my country.

Also, I'm not very educated! I completed High School and a year of Post-Secondary and then dropped out, bought a Comic & Game store, and never went back.

Which is funny, because I believe VERY STRONGLY in LEARNING. I like to learn new things every day!

I just don't believe as strongly in "education". By which I mean, it's great, as long as you are actually learning stuff, but I've met a lot of people with high education who know very little about anything.

Aye, it's based on UK education, which doesn't resemble French education, which doesn't resemble US education, which doesn't resemble South Korean education... . It's a global survey. So I just stayed with my home system. Thanks for your help! And the year's experience thing we treat as 20 or more years if you drag the slider all the way up

I feel like I was once familiar with the differences between my (Canadian) education and a UK one, but that might have been back before 2000. Has the UK description changed in that time? (I assume so, my kids went through a slightly different system than I did, after all).

I think it's actually changed since about a year ago... . I suppose the clearest way would be to think of GCSEs as 14-16 years old, A-Levels and ASS-Levels as16-18, then the rest more or less like north America (I think)...

Thanks for your help! That's pretty standard, there are often different ways of asking broadly similar questions, usually to get a more rounded view.

Intentional, yes, though it's only one part of the study. There's a line in the information sheet before consent: "We will also collect data on how you relate to other people (perspective taking), and on traits related to autism."

Shows you how closely I read consents!

Oh, yeah 20 years being the maximum length of time with RPGs is way lot for this forum. I'm at 45, and I'm think I'm pretty typical around these parts. Although for your purposes, maybe 20+ years is essentially all the same data point anyway.
