Turning Shadar-Kai Witch into an Elite

DerTraveler

First Post
Hey ho Guys...

I'm running Thunderspire Labyrinth with a group of mine and wanted to insert a little bit of self-made stuff...
Particularly I'm imagining an Elite version of the Shadar-Kai Witch Monster (MM1, p.231)...

First modification I made was making the Deep Shadow aura an persistent aura with the following new last paragraph to keep some limit to her mobility...
"However, if the shadar-kai witch moves more than half her speed or uses shadow jaunt, the aura disperses until the start of her next turn."

Now I'm looking for an appropriate additional action each round (minor, immediate?) that fits into her existing tactics with restraining the line of sight of her enemies and complicating close combat with the damaging difficult terrain aura...

Any advices on that?

PS: The fight's gonna take place on top of a watchtower shrouded into thunder clouds... so some random lightning flying around... and she's gonna be accompanied by a Shadar-Kai bodyguard (i guess some standard Warrior) and a handful other shadowy creatures.... if that's gonna help ;)

That’s a good idea with the aura, it upgrades nicely.

To turn this into an elite I would consider:-

1: Increasing Shadow Jaunt to teleport 5

2: Change Beshadowed Mind to a minor action but keep the recharge 456, and change the damage from 2d6+4 damage to 5 ongoing necrotic damage (save ends).

3: Add the following powers, or something like them:

STANDARD ACTION
Dark Lightning (lightning, necrotic) * At Will
Attack: range 10 (one or two creatures); +11 vs. Reflex
Hit: 1d10+4 lightning and necrotic damage
Secondary attack (each target hit by primary attack) +10 vs. Fortitude
Hit: target is immobilised (save ends)

STANDARD ACTION
Brittle Bones (necrotic) * Encounter
Attack: area burst 2 within 15 (enemies in burst); +11 vs. Fortitude
Hit: 1d12+6 necrotic damage and if target moves more than 1 square as
part of an action it takes 2 damage for each square moved (save ends)
Aftereffect: target takes 5 necrotic damage and is slowed (save ends)

I think that would get you what you need, I hope it gives you some ideas.
