Twig Blights

Even though I felt that the Sunless Citadel module was kinda mediocre, I thought that the Twig Blights were very cool little monsters. They didn't have much to do in the module however. Have they appeared in any other module or monster handbook? Has anyone here used them in their own modules?

They can be found in the Monster Manual II. I've used them in Neverwinter Nights, creating them using a halfling model without hands or a head, with a permanent barkskin effect applied.

They stopped being scary once my players started referring to them as "Tweeblos."

Don't ask me why.

Also, a very similar monster appeard in the old 2e FR adventure module Doom of Daggerdale . I think they were called wood woses there.

In Wizardru's story hour they are a constant problem. but he has amped them up quite a bit. Now they are a true horror.
