Two months without buying any D&D product

First Post
Nearly two months ago it was announced that no WotC PDFs would be available from online stores. This is the same time that I have not been buying anything from WotC. At that time I was delaying buying some of their books in PDF form just one month. I was buying everything that they published both in English and in Spanish (by Devir) until that date.

I still think that this measure doesn't make any kind of sense. When they make PDFs available again, I'll consider buying their products again.

I don't like 4th edition that much, but was preparing a new campaign using their 4th edition rules. That campaign preparation has been halted too.

I was a D&D Insider subscriber and my subscription got cancelled.

Keeping legal PDFs away from loyal and legitimate customer due to piracy is not a good policy.

I don't like what they did and wish I could use loads of four letter words to make my opinion reach their ears, but I like these forums and won't fill them with my profanity.

That's everything that I had to say as a former WotC customer. Just fuming a little bit.

I hardly ever posted before but I needed to vent.

I loved some of their previous products but this policy is so stupid that it's very difficult to put words for it.

Sorry for venting on your forums.

heh. It has been even longer for me. I swore off WotC since 4e announcement... I didn't even buy any of the last several 3e offerings (they were very weak anyhow).

Let's see ... D&D products ... nope, not for about 2-2 1/2 years now.

And WotC products ... about 3.

I've gone backward - instead of buying the new D&D stuff from WotC, I'm buying Dungeon Magazines from the 80s and 90s. :)

It's been two days since I purchased MM2, and I gotta say, you all are missing a pretty darned good book.

It's been five days since I purchased MM2, and I gotta say... not really. I mean yeah, it's ok for what I paid, but certainly nothing that's gonna make someone who's already boycotting change their mind about doing so.

Utterly negative thread that serves no purpose other than bitching? Check.

Karmacoma, I agree with you utterly about the pdfs. I think removing them (especially products that were already out on pdf!) was an extremely bad decision that squandered goodwill without achieving a reduction in piracy. But boy, this has been hashed over many times, and right now I'd just as soon keep these boards focused on more fun and positive things.
