Amazon has revealed the next two D&D hardcovers! The Wild Beyond the Witchlight is a feywild adventure due in September, and Curriculum of Chaos is a Magic: the Gathering setting of Strixhaven, which looks like a Harry Potter-esque mage school, set for November.

The Wild Beyond the Witchlight is D&D's next big adventure storyline that brings the wicked whimsy of the Feywild to fifth edition for the first time.

The recent Unearthed Arcana, Folk of the Feywild, contained the fairy, hobgoblin of the Feywild, owlfolk, and rabbitfolk. UA is usually a good preview of what's in upcoming D&D books.

Curriculum of Chaos is an upcoming D&D release set in the Magic: The Gathering world of Strixhaven -- a brand new MtG set only just launched.

Strixhaven is a school of mages on the plane of Arcavios, an elite university with five rival colleges founded by dragons: Silverquill (eloquence), Prismari (elemental arts), Witherbloom (life and death), Lorehold (archaeomancy), and Quandrix (numeromancy). You can read more about the M:tG set here.

You will be able to tune into WotC's streamed event D&D Live on July 16 and 17 for details on both, including new character options, monsters, mechanics, story hooks, and more!

Looks like we know the full schedule now.
September, adventure in the Feywild with the new fey races tested earlier (a surprise)
November, MtG crossover. Likely no new races or subclasses

They might have a fifth book on dragons, maybe for December. But that's a lot of content
Suppose Strixhaven could have the dragon options

Damn, but did Amazon really spoil this one, stealing WotC's D&D live 2021s Thunder. And in a weird way too revealing, Chris Perkin's Summer Adventure, but then skipping James Wyatt book and revealing Amanada Hammon's book in November. This means that James Wyatt's book HAS to be a Classic settings book, because otherwise folks were mislead about the classic settings. As it is another MtG setting book, instead of a classic setting book, it going to have folks losing it.

I knew that the Arcavios map was a sign that they had D&D plans for the plane, but I didn't think they'd pull the trigger until the second visit there.

I love Strixhaven so I don't mind. The Feywild adventure isn't a shocker.

No we don't know the full schedule, because neither of these books is the book that James Wyatt is working on, and that one is coming out before the Strixhaven book, but when we don't know.

And "including new character options, monsters, mechanics, story hooks, and more!" So yeah the Strixhaven book likely has races at minimum, probably spells too like Summon Inkling.

Remember this wasn't supposed to come out like this, we weren't supposed to know about Witchlight until July, and Strixhaven was likely being saved for announcement in September. Amazon really, really screw this one up BIG time, even by Amazon's standards. So it's no surprise that they didn't spoil the middle book, none of thos was planned.

James Wyatt used to work on Magic
The Strixhaven book is probably his baby more than Hammon's
(And everyone is still assuming those products are physical RPG books and not other D&D branded products)

And how would people be misled about classic settings? We know they're working on two more (or were planning them, because they could always decide to cancel it if it's not working out) but that doesn't mean they're all coming out within 18 months of each other.
