D&D 5E Tyranny of Dragons DMs Screen Pictures

That would be a shame, IMO. Sure, this screen doesn't appear to be the best, but that doesn't mean the concept is flawed. Though an adventure-specific screen (like a map pack, or set of item cards, or, really, most other support materials for an AP) should ideally be worked on by the same company who produce the adventure itself.

It seems that this screen suffers from the same problems as the adventure itself: it was rushed, they didn't have enough money, and not enough people cared. They didn't know what they were doing until after they had committed to doing it, and they decided to cut their losses and poop out a bad product rather than spending resources on making it good. (That's just my first impression, of course.)

It's probably because the game itself is still launching. Hopefully they can get it together for future products.

Both Murder in Baldur's Gate and Scourge of the Sword Coast had adventure specific screens bundled with the product itself (acting as its cover). I found both quite useful when running the adventure, although I did have little nitpicky concerns about some of the material or maps they included on them.

Cheers!

thanks for the links, I actually much prefer the second one (horizontal). Im sorely disappointed in GF9 Tyranny screen, dont really see the point of it. I really hope one of their reps are checking these forums because so far their products are sub par (spell card problems).

Edit: 11/8
So now that they have revealed the Deluxe Screen comming out in January I will definitely pass on the Tyranny screen for the former. Looks pretty amazing.

I'd rather see a plug and play adventure screen with see through pockets that allowed DMs to put whatever information / pictures that he wanted to on the inside and outside of the DM screen. That would be useful. This? Not so much.

You mean like the Savage Worlds Customizable GM Screen (http://www.amazon.com/dp/1930855591)? I have one of these, and it's great for exactly the use you describe.

(Whoops: hadn't seen that MerricB beat me to it.)
