Ugly Half-Orc Backstory

Nah, everything in D&D has boobs. And where humans and dragons mate with everything, even rocks and sentient air... Oh my...

Won't this really be the poison pill of the 4e GSL? Now that Order of the Stick has made a 4e joke, will the GSL permit them to make 3.5 jokes anymore?

Elan will go missing this mission, and won't show back up for another year.

Alternately, he'll injure his hand, so he can never play the lute again, but gain battle-hardening experience in commanding troops.

Its not like Elan has any useful class features anyway. Inspiring tends to go badly for him, and his spells tend to be... limited.

So, this mean that Burlew is in favor of D&D 4th edition, too. :p
He'd almost have to be. He mentioned a long time ago that he was freelancing on a WotC project that he couldn't name due to NDA, and since his name hasn't appeared on anything yet, it has to be a 4e product.

I had always assumed that OotS wouldn't make the shift to 4e (mainly because of Elan), but now I wonder. Elan did change classes (around the same time Burlew was working on the aforementioned product), so now all the OotS members are potentially 4e-legal (depending on how Elan gets re-implemented--warlord, probably. Weird). I imagine Vaarsuvius will be very surprised the first time he discovers he can Fey Step! And aside from him, most of the party will get a significant power boost--Belkar will lose his tiny swords, Roy and Haley will get exploits (though Haley will have to trade her shortbow out), Durkon will get a Wis bonus... and Elan has nowhere to go but up.

Well, given the meta nature of the strip, I could easily imagine Elan 'changing' into a different class due to the action of the gods, and then when bard gets released changing yet again. ;)

Man I shot coffee through my nose...Sacred Hamburger. I can't wait til OOTS converts to 4E....or will it go to Pathfinder?

But still, you gotta have some funny taste to find these guys 'snuggly green cutie pies'![sblock]

But then again having seen what is available on the internets, some peoples taste in these matters is pretty out there;)

Bold mine. I stopped reading OotS one year ago or so, when Belwar had died (crushed against the ground) and all that, but was V's gender confirmed or is it still unknown?
