Ugly Half-Orc Backstory

Yeah, some of the fey (or wild-loving) long-lifers taking pity on crude, short-lived humans.

I wouldn't want to be the result of a pity-****, either. However, that's what gave us John Connor, so it's not all bad.

This is what I find so hilarious about the "Half-orcs are bad because they imply rape" thing.

Because the traditional fey made orc rape look kind and gentle in comparison.

All I can say is that I occasionally see the "ladies of the evening/eyebleach" threads on fark, so I guess just about anything is possible.

Man I shot coffee through my nose...Sacred Hamburger. I can't wait til OOTS converts to 4E....or will it go to Pathfinder?

But still, you gotta have some funny taste to find these guys 'snuggly green cutie pies'![sblock]

But then again having seen what is available on the internets, some peoples taste in these matters is pretty out there;)

Well, yeah. None of those are the womenfolk. QED.

But half-elves have far more to do with Elrond and Elros than with the traditional fey. And their parents were all about the love. :)

"I wouldn't hit it. That orc has sharp knees."

Some good points...

One variation on the rich/strong orc husband is that many women in various situations would be quite happy to have a husband who can protect them against other men, or protect the home, or... or the countless reasons other than romance.

Even a nasty orc could be preferable to the alternatives.

An interesting answer to the usual "IF the PCs kill all the war-like male orcs, and leave the female and young... what happens to them?"

The paladin at first plans to bring them to a nearby church but things get in the way and soon the party has a small group of orc families joining them in Wacky Misadventures©!

They marry the dirty hippy orcs and breed a generation of orcish flower-children.

They will breed the Orcs back to Elves... No wait, D&D-Orcs aren't vile ugly elves tortured by some ancient evil... Hmmm...
