Ultimate Gaming Table, Update

One such device was "Bratz Instant Messenger Electric Funk - Lavender"
which I found listed at Toys-r-us's website on Amazon. MSRP was $34, but they were selling it for $10. These might be a little fru-fru, but somebody must have comparative devices on the market (ala, toys for boys)...You can always spray paint them...

I imagine Radio Shack or WorstBuy has something similar...

WorstBuy and RadioShack has a $99 device that uses your wireless internet connection to do IM functions. Almost an AIM or MSN appliance...called a KByte ZipIt Wireless Messenger
Might be overkill. I recall a few years ago some wimpier products came out, aimed at kids, for sharing notes in class...

These are nice, but the table with the bottom-mounted projector...that's the Ultimate Gaming Table.

We're kicking that idea around for my gaming group as well - does anyone have a link(s) for one of these that works well?

(Thanks in advance!)

Look at all the Houston gamers popping up now! They should've come to the Houston Gamers Get-together thing from back in September... *ahem*

;)

Yeah, no kidding.

Actually, I can't really complain. I met 2/3 of my current Mutants & Masterminds campaign at that meet-up. Still, it might be time to try and pull another one together.

 I don't know how he pays for gas.

(yeah, it's cheaper now, but I think it's funny, still)

Well, when you're 39, and a gamer living in Huntsville and it's your one opportunity a month to indulge your hobby, you take drastic measures.

Do you try to do that twice a year or once a year or randomly or what?

I surely wouldn't mind making it a semi-sort-regular thing. I've got to get through the holidays and various work adventures before I can give it a shot though.

 How did I miss this!!! Oh well, I guess I just have to keep my eyes open for another one. I may be looking for a new group around June or July after my brief hiatus when our firstborn comes along. I'm not sure I want to go back to the group I am currently in ;)

Oh yeah, just to keep this post on topic, I love the gaming table. I personally like this one better than the one with the message tubes, just because I don't see them working very well.

If I ever get a bigger house, I've already warned the wife that we will need a game room that will be MINE!!! A good gaming table and a homemade MAME cabinet or two.

It was in the Gamers Seeking Gamers forum, so you know where to look next time. :)

I don't know if you checked the last one out, but it was in a fairly central part of Houston, which I liked.

For me, Fridays-Sundas are bad *ahem* :uhoh: ;)

But I understand if I can't make it, my schedule is wonky
