I think all knowing should be added to the villain description.
Assassin stealth, See invisible counter it, and the assassin doesn't know the temple location as well.
Thank you for the warning.Hi guys. Mgshamster here.
This dude is a troll.
He's been banned at least three times from GitP, twice for this *exact* thread which he posted last weekend.

Unfortunately this does not work. And continuing my suggestions of just breaking him with Suggestion and taking advantage of his lower stats (Seeing as I still remain having serious doubts a 8 int 8 wis character should, y'know, be able to do ridiculous tactics like this)
1: Get him close enough to be in Suggestion's range. Use your mage if you have to as bait. Using Truesight against him and play the field in such a way stealth checks are going to be a disadvantage, heavily increasing the likelihood he'll be detected
2: Suggest he wear this suit of plate armor to protect him. Please provide him a suit of armor
3: Congratulations, he is now a spellcaster wearing plate armor
4: HEAT METAL
Sorry, in that case I was arguing against a single Divination Wizard, he never said he had an entire party on his side. There is nothing to fear against a single Divination Wizard. How will they be stolen? This tactic works only if you have a realistic way for the villain to personally sneak right up to the party without being detected. Recall, he may be able to sneak up, but the stealing will be immediately dectected if he doesn't succeed at the sleight of hand check to steal a worn item. You can't steal an item actually in hand without being noticed. You're saying that the villain will know that the party has a gem of seeing and will risk themselves to steal in in a manner that requires both he and his simulacrum to be very close and at risk?
Please.
Stealth =/= Invisible, you are still thinking too small.
See Invisible doesn't help if I'm lurking behind the ornamental shrubbery or inside a hollowed-out decorative pillar or I am disguised as a beggar seeking alms.
And yes I do know where the Temple is, I followed the Coffee'lock home after he shattered your group and needed a breather. Your (careless) DM didn't notice because HE isn't thinking beyond "SPELLZ RULE !" either.
Unfortunately this does not work.
The problem with this tactic is that the target first needs to be able to see the target, Darkness / Invisibility. Another problem is that Suggestion Spell is easily counterspelled. Another problem is Staff of Charming. the villain has advantage and can still add with Favored of The Gods (+ 2d4) and still has Greater Restauration.
Detail: You may be attacking only an illusion (Minor Image) or Own Simulacrum, wasting teleportation (1 slot and chance to fail).
If you attempt to attack the villain, you must pass the Sanctuary spell or waste spell slots..
Also, Heat Metal is counterspellable.
No, it does work.
Our wizard could be a Drow and see through it. Could have See Invisible. Or any of the tricks our sorclock is using
Favoured of the Gods only works on one saving through until he has a short/long rest. Have two wizards use the same tactic.
He has his stats built to min-max, we can build our stats to min-max right back to break him. Additionally his illusions don't matter in this. He's walking over to try and telesteal, he needs to be in place. Just need someone with enough perception to catch him, and we're good. Or, y'know, just go full prepared and coat the ground with something that it'll be clear if he tries to walk in it. Given he's got 8 int 8 wis, its unlikely he'd pick up on it and be obvious.
You only need to win one roll against him to know he's there, and that's all we need.
He still needs to succeed on the counterspell, and he's in metal. Let me point out its entirely viable to burn a much, much higher spellslot on that and just roast him alive in a delicious barbeque
