Ummm.... Farscape?

It's at Gen Con
There are copies of Farscape for sale at Gen Con. AEG brought a ton and they seem to be selling well (at least they did yesterday). Products usually take a week or two to hit the shelves after a big con, depending on distributers. For those not at Gen Con, it should be in stores around the middle of the month.

That would be the middle of THIS month then the month after the redated re-release date after failing to release for the original one.... thanks for the update Rob
I feel AEG have really let us down on this one, i'll still buy the book, but all these god awful delays have likely killed the majority of interest folks had for this book. which is a shame as Farscape should have had far better treatment

Then you shouldn't put the blame wholly on AEG. 
I will have to say this time and time again, this is a licensed product. The owners of the Farscape IP wants total control when it is being used by a third party, and that includes reviewing the material before it can be approved for sale.
As for you waiting for so long, then you should also be at fault. Trying to wait for a product to head out the door is a waste of your time better spent on something else more fruitful, like trying out other products currently available.
If you have lost interest, then you have lost interest. Others who have not been waiting for this product may be fully surprise and will take interest in it.

The first delay was because of Henson's group I know this as i spoke to Rob at the time, however the latest delays is in my opinion simply not on, maybe because of the printers? maybe because all the books they did get ready they took to Gencon I don't know but my point is after the first lot of Delays SUPREME efforts should have been taken to ensure it didn't happen again. When AEG said late July a lot of people held out hope that that would be it we'd finally get the book, now were looking at the mid point of this month instead.
As for my time Ranger REG being better spent trying out other products.. well i won't even dignify that with a response as that is just a plain silly thing for you to say as you have no idea how my time is spent, but i assure you I do try out many other products out there.
Now noone expects products on time a few weeks or a month here or there is normal, but two delays totalling almost half a year is just plain annoying.
Now if you had read my post you would have seen I said i still intended to buy the book so obviously I have not lost interest myself, simply because of my loyalty to the Farscape genre itself, but i know of MANY people who are no longer bothering to buy the book or even keep track of it release anymore because the constant delays have put them totally off. And the near total absence of website updates on the matter was disappointing too.
the reason for my annoyed post, is because last time I spoke to Rob he pretty much said any future products for the game would be dependant upon sales being good for the game.... and DELAYS DO HARM SALES thats not an assumption it is a fact, which is a shame as i say as the Farscape genre deserves better. More of them just means the game has to stand that much more out of the crowd in order to excel.
I understand Neo's frustration and I know where it's coming from. Believe me, I do. But the fact remains that Farscape is Henson's sandbox and we play in it at their discretion. This is their first foray into the role-playing industry and Farscape is their current hot ticket. That made them VERY careful about what went in and and how it reflected the show and the product in general. That made for a lot of dealys. It wasn;t simply a question of throwing more bodies at the problem or burning the midnight oil (although I and others on the project put inquite a few long nights). The process was a constant one. When Henson wanted changes made, we made them, and then sent them *back* to Henson for review. In many cases, that meant sending the text to the production team in Australia, then back to Henson in New York, then to us. That was a long process, but Henson felt — and we agree — that it made for a better book in the long run. That's the reason the RPG was delayed for so long. The printers did an excellent job of turning it around quickly, and the copies available at Gen Con were shipped directly from the presses.
This is not intended as an excuse. Delays are delays, and as Neo said, they do hurt sales (more on that below). To him, and to everyone else who feels frustrated by the lengthy delays, I apologize. But we feel that the resulting book is very strong and that fans will find it worth the wait. And while sales invariably suffer from delays, the book is doing VERY well at Gen Con, and we're optimistic about its sales. Will there be additional books after this one? That's solely up to Henson. We're contracted for one book, and any more will come solely at their discretion. They may decide that role-playing isn't what they want. They may decide that they want us to do thirty more books. It's their call. This is as it should be: it's their property, after all, and they have a very good TV show to protect. For now, I hope everyone enjoys the core book. As I said, I don't think it will disappoint.

I've been waiting quite patiently for the book. Although a little disappointed that it didn't release earlier, it is understandable and totally forgivable. I've never felt AEG was responsible for the delays. It's Henson's baby, and to be honest, eventhough it's not in my hands already, the extra care that has been placed on it assures me that the product will be totally faithful to the show. The last thing I'd want is to buy a book that was just some "fanboy's" interpretation of Farscape rather than something that looks and feels like it is OFFICIAL.
Again, thanks Rob for taking the time to let us know that the book will be in my grubby little hands soon.
Side Note: You might want to kick the person responsible for the website. I think they've fallen asleep at the keyboard. If you find the vultures circling around their head, drop me a line, I wouldn't mind being the webhead.

If you find my message offensive, I apologize. While I agree that delay of product can affect the sale of that product, I try not to put myself into the situation of getting caught up in the hype and hope only to be disappointed down the road due to delays.
Perhap it was premature for a company to publicly announce they have the right to publish a licensed product and to publicly announce they're going into development with a set release date. Maybe they should have at least kept such a project secret until the first draft material has been completed before making it known. At this stage, one can be realistic about the release date with less delay.
Again forgive my message and my stance at being standoffish and skeptical. While I have known that AEG has the license to publish Farscape, I'll believe it when I find the rulebook is sitting on the shelf of my FLGS.
