Unarmed Combat

One of my campaigns exists in a world where quality weapons are not in easy access. Punches and chairs kills more than swords and axes. So I wanted to make a couple of feats to bump combat with these weapons because my unarmed combat system is imcomplete.

Unarmed Combatant
Benefit: You gain a +2 bonus to attack rolls with your unarmed weapon.
Increase bonus to +4 at level 11, and +6 and level 21.
Your unarmed weapon gains the off hand property

Sneaky Brawler
Prerequisites: Rogue
Benefit: You can make sneak attacks with unarmed and one handed improvised weapons.

Skilled Kick
Prerequisites: Wis 15, fighter
Benefit: You may add your Wisdom bonus to attack and damage rolls with your unarmed weapon attacks against targets marked by your Combat Challenge. If you do, you may not add your Strength modifier to damage.

Brutal Fist
Prerequisites: Str 15
Benefit: Your unarmed weapon gains the High crit property and you may treat it as a hammer for feats and powers.

If you're allowing some type of magic unarmed weapon (like the spiked gauntlet from the Adventurer's Vault), then the hit bonus will get way too high with this feat. Something like a flat +3 proficiency bonus instead of a scaling bonus might work better in this case.

Or you could break it into multiple feats, with the first offering +2, and then a second feat with prereqs of this feat and a min level of 11 (for example) that upgraded the bonus to +3 or +4. A third could even be created at a later time. This would allow you to have the higher bonuses but make the character give up other feats to get it.

At the moment we are not using spike gauntlets, because the characters will put their money into their real weapons for when they don't have guards patting them down.

If I change it from "unarmed weapon" to "unarmed attack", would that keep the bonus only on nomagically unarmed melee attacks?

Yeah, I suppose that would work.

Just make sure to clarify to your gaming group what the distinction between "unarmed attack" and "unarmed weapon group" is. The nomenclature is a bit confusing.
