UNDERWORLD: is it just VTM meets WTA?

Sounds like R&J to me.

Ahh, I see. A nascent Lycan... so I suppose the "mortal" really isn't a mortal. Both sides chasing him, etc. Meanwhile he has no idea what the hell is going on. I guess the R&J could work under those circumstances. We'll see how well it's executed, hopefully decently.

Also, it can't ba a VtM movie without the clans.

Sure it can. All it has to do is assume that most or all of the vamps in the movie come from the same lineage, and not talk much about it.

If you mean that it can't officially be a V:tM movie, well, of course not. It does look like it's inspired by the WoD, though. As was Blade, which clearly borrowed some things from the game.

I didn't see any of the other material for the movie, but I thought that the R&J angle was pretty clearly implied in the trailer.

At any rate, the movie looks cool. I've pencilled it in as something to see come September.
