Why exactly? I found it exciting if only because it's damn fine mini to use in a Warband AND makes for a decent combatant.

Thanks Nightfall. I headed there directly after posting hoping it would be up.

It is a nice memory involking piece but as one that uses these for Role playing vs Skirmish games it is only okay.

However, if I understand its one ability right, that is a serious figure to deal with when looking to finish it off.

Next weeks is a large and very ....odd in shape.....wings? wind blown cape?

From a skirmish point of view this figure has a lot of possibilities and I'm sure will rewrite many favorite attack groups. CE with their "in your face" Orcs and Ogres are in for it.

Should be neat to hear feedback on it once in play.

I had pretty much the same reaction as Olaf the Stout. I don't play the skirmish game; for D&D it's really just another human with a sword, and the picture doesn't make it look all that great as that, even. (I'll reserve final judgment until I see them in person, of course, but there seem to be a lot of ugly sculpts in Unhallowed...) It doesn't help that I don't have any fond memories of WPM. I'm sure it'll be a rare, and I'm sure I'll end up pulling one from a pack and then have nothing much to use it for (if my luck holds). If I knew anyone who played the skirmish game I could at least trade it, but as is it's just going to be a disappointment if one comes out of a pack I open.

I agree with you kaomera. I don't play the skirmish game (at least not for the moment) so I don't know whether it is a "good" mini from a skirmish perspective. From a roleplaying perspective it is just a guy with a sword and both the sculpt and paint job don't look all that good.

For those that play the skirmish game it may kick ass. For those that just want the minis for roleplaying it is just another guy with a sword. The only difference is that it is a rare that could get instead of an undead beholder, shield guardian or stone giant. I know what I would prefer.

They can't all be monsters. That would mean that they had to put some critters they originally intended as uncommons to be made rare. I' much prefer to have half a dozen Vampire Dire Wolves and one Thrall of Blackrazor than the other way around!

And note that making small rares is generally considered a very bad thing. Wizards have said so themselves (which didn't keep them from making "Meepo, Dragonlord" a rare, which was ridiculous).

But I doubt it will happen again.

It would be nice if they made some more of the "pack" type monsters (i.e. monsters that you need a lot of for RPG) Common rather than Uncommon. Stirges are only tiny yet they are one of the most sought after Uncommons going around. In my opinion they should have been made common since you need quite a few of them per encounter.

At least the Troll Slasher was made uncommon after they made the first one a rare.
