Unorthodox Paladins

Does anyone have this? I read the reviews, but they didn't really answer the one major concern I had. I looked through the preview, and it looks great except for the editing mistakes (typos, punctuation issues, etc.). One of the reviewers said that there were some editing issues. I'm pretty particular about that kind of thing (being a proofer/copy editor myself), but if it's only one or two for the entire 100 pages, I'd be fine with it. Any thoughts?

I have a few of the "Unorthodox" line of pdfs that I won in the ENnies GenCon reviewer auction. My feeling about all of them is pretty similar: there are some class balance issues, some typos- not excessive, and some funky verbiage. But, the flavor text is generally excellent, the ideas creative, and the classes workable.

If you already own any of the line, you would have a good sense of what to expect.

If you intention is to use the classes for NPCs, I would say go for it. If you instead want PC classes, I would check with your GM's flexibility; as some of the classes are over/underpowered, you might need to do some tweaking. Still, on balance, the price is right IMO.

I've always wanted to play a non-LG "Paladin" who was really a Ftr/Clr in game terms, but called himself a Paladin in-game. Just to mess with my fellow players' minds...

This book just ruined that idea for me... :(

In clarification, I do not own any of their other titles.

Edit: Also, I did check out some of their other stuff, to see what the deal is, so I'm somewhat familiar with the company and their products. So far, this is the only one grabbing my attention. At least, enough to think about paying. :)

Editing was pretty minor if I remember correctly. Occasionally you'd find something like a spell's title on one page and the rest of the description on another. Other than that it's well-written - by editing errors I'd probably say one every five or so pages, no big deal. If you have more specific questions, given that I reviewed this product, I'd be happy to answer them.
