Upcoming Adventure Review

Damaris has been doing wonderfully so far. She has talked us out of two probable fights. And a bard often tips the balance so people are hitting instead of missing their targets. Looking at her stats, she's not too shabby with a bow. So, standing back and being a singing archer is a good fit for her.

With so few active GMs, there are few times where you get to pick between two games that are in your level range. Sitting on the sideline for several months can get boring and bump you down into the next tier group. So, you are no longer adventuring with your friends, but some new strangers.

It's not that you're in danger of dying as it is that you aren't going to be making too many diplomacy checks in a dungeon crawl. PM is a great GM, but if you want social-y stuff, FoF might not be the best choice for you.
Thanks. :)

Actually, whichever adventure I use you can expect challenging encounters. I am not looking at an urban scenario, and not much in the way of social encounters. Pretty much typical adventuring that all characters should be versatile enough to handle. :p

Systole, are you planning a 3rd level replacement for Hode? That would be fine. But I am not looking to have a large range of levels and only taking 3rd or 4th levels.

Actually, soulnova is already playing a 5th level (Galandra) so Damaris really doesn't have the option to pick and choose. If she waits, there might be a game for 2nd levels that will take a 3rd level?

I'll bump my aasimar alchemist up to level 3 with DMC. Cavernous Hode is the kind of character who's fun to play once in a while, but he needs some downtime or his schtick wears out, so I'm going to shelve him for a few months.

Sounds good.

Looks like we have the following for my game (none of these declined yet?):
Amien - an Urban Barbarian
Damaris - a Bard (prob healer)
Tyrion - a fighter
Thuvian - a wizard
Ru - a Ninja
Systole's- alchemist

You guys are going to have to purchase some CLW wands to take care of healing. But it looks pretty balanced with plenty of combat power.

I think I will go with the homebrew scenario as it is more outdoors and not so cramped with 6 characters compared to Forge of Fury. Satin Knights, are you able to ride Judge for me again? If not, perhaps Mowgli or GE can. I will begin work on an encounter outline this coming week.

I've been thinking about running one of the PFS scenarios after Coils of Flame wraps - I could take some of them (but not Kryeprift, of course).

I think SS21's game is going to end in a couple of weeks as well, Mowgli. Also the Ringling Affair is short and only to fill time until a rookie was ready. Said person looks to be gone now. I have not considered what to do next with them.

Cool. I've got an idea for a way to leverage the capabilities of PbP to be a little more . . . something. Immersive? Simulationist? Not sure what word really applies, but for it to work I'll need first (and maybe second, depending on class and build) level characters whose handlers are willing to embrace some posting mechanics that are a little different from the norm.

It'll take a considerable amount of time on my part to make it run smoothly so I want to be sure I'm a little more prepared than usual as well. I'll start putting it together now just in case.
