I'm having a brain malfunction! Anyone who can, please help me with a Design problem?

I've crafted in my Eberron Campaign the Mad Wizard's lair from Hell, and I've run out of rooms to add. I've got twelve rooms set up in a dimensionally folded space, all relating to a Bugbear Sorcerer who several hundred years ago sought to become a god. I've determined I want 12 rooms, and I've decorated all but one. I need help deciding what that last room should be.

My rooms I've included are:

1- an illusion of a bustling Dhaakan Marketplace (he got homesick)
2 - Entry Foyer, complete with fountain
3 - Busted HUGE aquarium
4 - Prison/oubliettes
5 - Laboratory/Library/Stockroom
6 - Treasure room
7 - Once nice foyer filled with dead troops
8 - Room full of Iron Defenders and dead bodies
9 - Torture room
10 - Portal to the Realm of Fernia (this was part of his plan - using this to create something called Khaaram's Fire)
11 - ??????????
12 - Workshop for projects, staffed with Formians from Daanvi

I've run out of traditional wizard accomodations! What should be last? Anyone?

An easy fix might be to break out room 5 into its components, with library and laboratory being separate or perhaps adjoining rooms. Then to make the lab distinct from the workroom, make it a workroom/summoning chamber with permanent inverted magic circle(a classic). The workroom would seem to fit this format since there's summoned/called beings there already.

I don't know THAT much about Eberron (hopefully this will change in about 8 days thanks to Henry ;)). But what I do know makes me think that something like this might work:

What about an Observatory, complete with a great big telescope. Mounted on the base is a magic mirror on some sort of hinge. On the proper days of the year one may point the telescope at a constellation (let's say something like a Great Scorpion) and then move the mirror into position. That reflects the light from the telescope onto a heiroglyph on the wall and POOF...it summons an "avatar" of the Great Scorpion to do one's bidding.

YOINK! (For a future image in my Eberron Game) - That image goes SO WELL with Eberron, it's not funny - unfortunately, because it's in an enclosed dimensionally folded space, it won't work too well for my Wizard's Lair - but the PC's are (whether they know it or not) heading for the Eldeen Reaches next, and a magical observatory works there like hand-in-glove.

I may do what you suggest, Fafhrd (say hi to the Mouser, for me ;)) though I'm still not shaking the feeling like I'm missing something integral to a wizard's lair, something obvious - I may take a scour over my first edition DMG when I get home.

Any other ideas? Anyone? Beuller? Beuller?

Um, what about a kitchen, dining room or bedroom, Henry? ;) Unless he wasn't into the whole sleeping/eating/entertaining thing.

I can see the eating in the Dining Room, but how could he sleep in the kitchen or entertain in the Bed... uh. Oh. :o Yeah, he could do that. ;)

Bedchambers are a must, I should think - and I do need to expalin the food intake/outgo situation. Thanks!

Have a crystal ball situated at the apex of the telescope.

Mouser's drunk as usual but I'll pass your comments along
:)

How about a harem? ;)

Marionette constructs. Animated puppets that love applause and attention, and who get homicidally upset unless you handle them very carefully. (Actors have such fragile egos you know. :) )

Maybe what's missing is a souvenir/trophy-room? A collection of stuff he's stolen... Teeth, claws and stuffed heads from monsters hes killed... The famous sword of the paladin that almost got him... Or perhaps the head (or just horn) of said paladins unicorn mount... A bouquet of couatl feather - maybe a whole wing even...

Souvenirs and memorabilia from a long and prosperous career in evil, in other words.
