Bluffside IS my Greyhawk. I use it as the central leaping point for my campaigns. It has so much to offer and so much detail left untapped that I hate to see it go unused.

What i would like is:

1. More info on the ruins. What's in them? What can be found in them? What went on before?

2. More info on the tower? What is it? What's it do?

3. More info in the surrounding lands and parts of bluffside. I know sands of pain is coming up but there is more to the bluffside area than just that. Anything farther to the south? What about the city of the sea folk? Where DID all these people come from? What other cities are out there? Dwarf? Elf? Orc?

4. Frozen tundra to the north? Any info on that?

I know bluffside was left intentionaly open ended for DM's to create what they want with the setting but speaking as a DM who doesn't have time to create all the stuff but want to keep the fluidity and the taste of bluffside setting some more information needs fleshing out. I would buy a .PDF or a setting book for this land much like a campaign guide or the old box sets.

MEG can turn bluffside to be the next FR/GH setting for D20. They have some good stuff in there and a TON of potential. I like the bluffside area, it's got everything you need, nothing you don't. I just don't want to see it goto waste :(

Thanks for the positive message. As far as the ruins and tower goes, I am in the very early stages of writing a module that will combine information on both of them. What I can tell you is that Secrets of the Barroks will answer many questions left unanswered in the book concerning both the Barroks and the Tower. Stay tuned.

As far as Bluffside goes, we are using it as the focal point to create an entire world. We chose to create from the inside out, instead of making a book of the world and then try to give you details later. You will end up getting a complete world once we are done.

I bought the book after reading some good reviews here on Enworld, and for a whim. I was hoping for an out of the way city to put into my campaign just to save time. But after the first reading, I have begun restructuring my world to make it fit. The entire concept of a New World and immigrant explorers setting really rocks to me. It triggered a lot of Ideas, and I have started building my new world with limited access so that Bluffside can be one of the major ports of call.

The only criticism I have is that I did not like the new races. It is purely a personal preference as the stats seem fine. I have replaced the lizard men with hobgoblins for my campaign and the structure still works politically as well. So any information on their politics still works for me! I am looking forward to the Dry Sands book!
thanks

We had a ball writing Bluffside. Glad to see you are putting it to good use. As for the races, I don't think it is a big deal changing them to fit your world. That was our idea from the start. A GM could use what he wanted and toss the rest. That is the reason that the Gods are as generic as they are. Use them or use your own. Once you buy it, it is truely your Bluffside. Enjoy.

I have some information on Perten, Targ Ak'ala Beng, and some sketchy info on Drashti Kyung (the Kobold enclave). Perhaps I can throw this together into some free web enhancements.

Hmm?

We've started discussing details of the Bluffside world. It totally rocks, IMHO.

But, we want to do it right, not fast.

Good news then eh? Just in time for X-Mas a little holiday joy. "And what do you want for Christmas Bobby?" "My own undead legion hand picked from the Necromancer."

Interludes: Sands of Pain hit stores today. If you are a fan of Bluffside or need a solid adventure to run check it out. Also, don't forget that there is still a few days left for free shipping at our site and Dragonstar: Raw Recruits is available there now. RR will be in stores soon.

BTW: Cool pic guys!

So... I bought this yesterday. Dare I ask about the timetable for the web enhancements? The printed userid & pw for the vault don't work.

We are redoing all of the MEG websites so soon, let me see if we can get some up before the change over, at least the maps and handouts--OK.

As for the bonus goodies, we are working on them now so they will be soon, not real soon but soon!

Thanks!

To be honest, I was sort of hoping you wouldn't do that. I sort of like the idea of a "drop-in setting"; if you make bluffside into a full world, it will feel like I'm just pulling a city from any other world (shrug).
