Updating my Sentinel Comics Resource Blog again

Hmm, been lax about updating this thread. Missed six or seven posts. Easy enough to find.

Right now, starting a week dedicated to the worst excesses of Nineties comics, beginning with a metatextual environment reflecting commonly seen elements of the less competent books of the era:

Bad Nineties Comic environment

The goofy edgelord characters start tomorrow. :)

Bad Nineties Week continues with a trio of villains.

Savager offers a solution to artists who flunked anatomy class in art school and can't stay on-model no matter how hard they try.

Ang-Gorr is a common Nineties trope, the shameless ripoff character.

And Karrion Klone is a nod to one of the decade's most hated stories, Marvel's Klone Saga. Er, Clone Saga. Also an example of a character with a "kewl" misspelled name, of course.

Been quite a while, but I've bestirred myself to post some thoughts on how to use villain teams in the game, which can be kind of tricky since they really crowd your budget for scene elements.

Using Villain Teams

Hmmm. I also seem to have skipped mentioning ten other posts between this and the SOS one, but four of those were just breaking the villain index into smaller chunks so it's less overwhelming. This thread doesn't get much engagement anyway so I guess it doesn't matter much.

Sentinel Comics' future may be looking pretty grim, but that just makes fan support more important. A few more posts to do just that:

Two new heroes for a cosmic adventures PbP I just started playing recently.
Doctor Demiurge - a delightfully bombastic homage to Stardust the Super Wizard (albeit much less casually murderous) by way of Starling and Kirby at their trippiest.
Phade - teleporting, invisible stealth specialist and former star smuggler, now using her talents for good.

And an experiment at making a low-power street vigilante type.
Crosstown Hammer - those voices and visions in his head are real, but he's not convinced they aren't just the result of brain trauma.
