[URBIS] If you win, you get to marry the princess...

What about Clone? It's not the same person, but it's the same genes. :)

(Get's vision of yuan-ti priest cutting a clone's testicles open to get the sperm.)

Ewww. ;)

Actually, it probably wouldn't work. A clone is an inert body, and only living bodies can produce viably sperm. Or carry an embryo to term...

(They haven't yet figured out all that DNA business in Urbis...)

Hmm...what if the PCs were in a situation where they and one other NPC were finalists, and the PCs had to ensure that the NPC wins so that they get the Glory but not the Breeding?
And what if the NPC was trying to do the same thing?

How about Clone + some very unholy Necromantic spell which put an outsider spirit in the inert body... that would work on the original dead body, too.

Really cool ... never said it before but Im finding out I really like Urbis ...

Why, thanks!

And I must say, it has been an interesting creative outlet for me - one that I intend to pursue even once I get drafted in January...

Finally got a better look at your website, Kudos to you. I especially like the racial viewpoints you posted - so much so I want to print them out and give them to PCs who can use it to roleplay better.

I wonder though ... you ever gonna stat out a city? ;D

Oh oh oh - or a Kingdom.

Wow...

Well, I hope they are useful!

I eventually plan to do a full write-up of Atalus - the "Mother of All Cities", so to speak. :D

This can serve as an entire campaign setting of its own - with a city of more than 6 million people and a history stretching back for millenia, there are plenty of things to do...

I've got a couple of books about Venice and other Italian city-states that I plan to read for this. Now all I need is more time... :(

Oh oh oh - or a Kingdom.

There aren't really all that many kingdoms - for the most part, there are lots of independent city-states. There are six additional regions I still want to detail, though, and one is a large Theocracy, while another is the westernmost outpost of a Chinese-style empire...

Incidentally, I'll probably get a map this week that will outline the basic geography of Urbis!
