I think I've managed to get the HP right from the previous fight and the trap; please correct me if I'm wrong. Map as before.

Round 1, continued

Despite Erf's "help", Fenenn manages to dispatch one of the spiders.

Ter-raen moves forward and despite a rather clumsy swing, slices another spider in two.

The remaining two spiders advance, hissing angrily, attacking Erf and Ter-raen. Both spiders hit. The wounds they inflict are only scratches, but they burn painfully. The burning subsides after a moment, and neither Erf nor Ter-raen seems to take any ill effect besides the scratch. (ooc: Erf takes 1, Ter-raen takes 2 damage. Both make their fort saves, and will need another fort save later.)

Gildrim hurries to the top of the stairs, looks left and right, spins around on the spot before deciding to go to the support of Ter-raen, and lashes out with the longsword the team found earlier.

OOC: Attacking S1 from H7: 1d20+4=16, 1d8+3=5
 

Round 1, continued

Gildrim deftly dispatches his target. The blade feels sharp and deadly in his hands.

Erf directs Fenenn over to the last spider and flourishes his dagger wildly. For some reason the spider is completely taken in by his feint, exposing its unprotected vitals to Fenenn's ready jaws. Its end is quick and messy. (ooc: Erf successfully aids, and Fenenn hits. The last spider dies.)

End combat

With the spiders dead, you have time to catch your breath and look around the area. It is a long hallway with many doors. Cobwebs fill the corners, and the carpets are covered with a thin layer of sticky gray dust.

After a minute of looking around, Erf suddenly sways. "Fellas, I don't feel so good..."

ooc: Secondary fort saves: Ter-raen makes it, but Erf fails, taking 3 str damage, leaving him at 3 str. This puts him well into medium load.
 

Looking at the little gnome almost collapsing at his feet, Ter-raen wonders for a moment just what could have happened to his companion. Spider bite that painful? Holding out his hand for Erf's backpack, Ter-raen offers to carry it for him. "Come, Ter-raen carry for you. Better?"

OOC: Apologies for not updating previous round, the subscription email for that didn't come through again...
 

"Ye jes' sit tight oan Fenenn, an' lat him dae ony fightin'," Gildrim advises. "Whit dae ye think? It wad be a peety tae nae tak a leuk aroond nou we're up haur. Sae mony doors! But we can gae back tae camp tae rest up in a wee. Richt noo, lat's mak shuir thaur's nae mair speeders hidin' in this stairheid. If thaur's nane, lat's try oor luck wi' this duir haur."

Gildrim points at the door to his left, before heading off to peer in corners for more lurking spiders.[sblock=OOC]If there are no unpleasant surprises, he'll open the door in H6.[/sblock]
 

After a quick sweep of the cobweb-strewn hallway, Gildrim cautiously opens the door nearest the stairs. The odor of old fur and mothballs fills the air; the room is a closet hung with fur-lined cloaks and shawls. At Erf's urging, Fenenn sniffs briefly at the room, but seems unalarmed, and quickly goes to wait across the hallway. Taking this a sign that there is no danger present, Erf forgets his weakness for a few minutes and rummages through the clothing enthusiastically, but to no avail; all is in tatters.
