I am starting work on a new campaign world and am thinking of using the UA PrC version of the Paladin and am wondering if anyone else has used it and their thoughts or experiences?

I didn't like how it was 15 levels and black gaurd is 10. Just rubbed me wrong. other than that it was a fine class, I just don't like the aesthetics of it.

Same complaint. Also don't like the Mounted Combat requirement.

I use a 10-level Paladin PrC that's nearly identical to the Blackguard PrC. I'm trying to find abilities to properly replace Poison Use and Sneak Attack, but I'm having a hard time thinking of suitable ones. (For now, I call it "close enough" because Cure spells are a lot more useful to a melee character than Inflict spells.)

Actually the feat requirements was one of things I was going to change. Each order/god would have different requirements.

In fact some may need more divine casting, some may require a certain domain.

Also thinking of removing the paladin special casting and making it a 1/3 casting class (+1 to divine casting level every 3 levels) and adding the paladin spells to thier spell list. Not sure what that will do. Still need to think about it some.

The prestige class versions of bards, paladins & rangers are already granted access to their unique spells in the PHB. UA, page 71, bottom box of text, labeled Unique Spells.
