Various Modifiers to AC

First Post
Following is a list of modifiers to AC that I'm aware of from 3.5e:

Natural
Armor
Shield
Dodge
Deflection
Divine
Exalted
Insight
Luck
(other misc and unnamed?)

Obviously, 4e has Armor and Shield Bonuses, as well being able to apply your Dex/Int mod.

Perhaps being able to apply the highest of either your Dex or Int mod takes the place of Dodge and Insight (although I believe in 3.5e you could have Dodge and Insight modifiers in addition to your Dex mod).

What about other modifiers? Does/will 4e utilize those?

Thanks in advance!!

To make sure I understand....
> A Power modifer to AC is any modifier granted by a power.
> Power modifiers do NOT stack with each other.
> Power modifers DO stack with other modifier types.
Is this correct?

What about Untyped modifiers? Do they stack with each other?

Not quite - some powers eg Seal of Protection Cleric 25 PHB71 gives an untyped bonus to AC.

This would stack with anything, like Shield of Faith's Power bonus to AC, or the same from another Cleric. see PHB P275

Thanks for pointing me towards the correct rules and the other clarifications.

Last (hopefully) question.....

It appears that magic armor is the only item that will have an Enhancement bonus to AC. Is that correct?

Yes, Armor is the only one that has an Enhancement Bonus. Shields and Bracers do not.

From the top of my head:

Base of 10
Half Level
Ability Mod (If Light Armor, use higher of Dex/Int Mod. None otherwise.)
Armor (Hide, Leather, Plate, etc)
Armor Enhancement (+1, +2, etc)
Shield (Light (+1) or Heavy (+2))
Item
Feat
Power (Usually temporary. The effect of some power or skill that last until next turn usually.)
Class (None at the moment)
Race (None at the moment)
*Untyped Bonus (stackable)

Race (None at the moment)
Halflings get a racial bonus to AC against opportunity attacks. (Even though it's situational, it is specified as a racial bonus.)

I really like 4e's way of basing the keyword off of what kind of rule you get the bonus from instead of stuff like "insight" or "sacred" bonuses. I just hope the supplements don't go crazy with untyped bonuses.
